  7.     Kira is leaning against an outcropping of wall.  Her beacon 
  8.     is in the middle of the room as if she'd dropped it and it'd 
  9.     rolled away.

  11.                     KIRA
  12.             Odo, am I glad to see you.
  13.  
  14.                     ODO
  15.             What's wrong?
  16.  
  17.                     KIRA
  18.                 (embarrassed)
  19.             You're not going to believe this... 
  20.             my foot is stuck.
  21.  
  22.                     ODO
  23.             Stuck?
  24.                 (makes his way over 
  25.                 to her)
  26.             How?
  27.  
  28.                     KIRA
  29.             I don't know.  I must've stepped 
  30.             into a fissure or something.  I can't 
  31.             get it loose.
  32.  
  33.                     ODO
  34.             Let me take a look.
  35.  
  36.     Odo kneels down and shines his beacon on Kira's foot.

  38. 16   CLOSE ON KIRA'S FOOT (OPTICAL)

  40.     In the beacon light, we can see that Kira's foot has been 
  41.     encased in some kind of crystalline formation.  The crystals 
  42.     sparkle in the beacon light.  As Odo watches, the crystal 
  43.     spreads, almost imperceptibly, up to Kira's ankle.

  45. 17   CLOSE ON ODO

  47.     As he reacts to this strange sight.

  49.                     ODO
  50.             It's not a fissure.

  52.                     KIRA
  53.             Then what is it?
  54.  
  55.                     ODO
  56.             Your foot's been encased in some 
  57.             kind of crystal.  And from the look 
  58.             of things...
