  8. 10   INT. AIRLOCK

  10.     An armed security guard is stationed outside the airlock.  A 
  11.     computer terminal is nearby.  Kira and Riker approach.  Kira 
  12.     taps some commands into the computer terminal.
  13.  
  14.                     COMPUTER VOICE
  15.             Please identify for access to USS 
  16.             Defiant.
  17.  
  18.     Kira puts her hand on a computer panel, which LIGHTS UP.
  19.  
  20.                     KIRA
  21.             Major Kira Nerys, Bajoran militia.
  22.  
  23.                     COMPUTER VOICE
  24.             Identity confirmed.
  25.  
  26.     Riker steps up, puts his hand on the same panel.
  27.  
  28.                     RIKER
  29.             Commander William Riker, Starfleet.
  30.  
  31.                     COMPUTER VOICE
  32.             Identity confirmed.

  34.     The Guard then works his terminal for a moment.  The airlock 
  35.     OPENS.  Kira and Riker EXIT into the airlock.

  37. 11   INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE
  38.  
  39.     The Defiant Bridge is mostly DARK -- only one or two consoles 
  40.     are lit.  Kira and Riker ENTER and see Chief O'Brien is lying 
  41.     under a console, with his head inside the open panel.  Kira 
  42.     is a little surprised, but the look on Riker's face says 
  43.     that he's not very happy about this particular surprise.

  45.                     KIRA
  46.             Chief.  I didn't know there was anyone 
  47.             aboard tonight.

  49.                     O'BRIEN'S VOICE

  51.             I hadn't planned to... just putting 
  52.             in a little extra work on the 
  53.             deflector targeting arrays.
