  13.             It better shift soon, or it's going 
  14.             to tear itself apart.

  16.     Off their realization that Meridian is in danger...
  17.  
  18. 61A  EXT. VILLAGE COMMONS - DAY (OPTICAL)
  19.  
  20.     The TREMORS have intensified.  As Dax watches, everything 
  21.     around her begins to SHIMMER and FADE until the Meridians 
  22.     lose cohesion, turning into ghost-like misty energy figures -- 
  23.     but Dax remains solid.  Deral extends a shimmering hand to 
  24.     Dax...

  26.                     DERAL
  27.             Jadzia...
  28.  
  29.     Dax tries to take hold of Deral's hand, but their hands pass 
  30.     through each other.  Everything around Dax seems to be trapped 
  31.     in an intermediate state between matter and energy... In his 
  32.     last moment of cohesion, Deral looks at her... their eyes 
  33.     say it all.  And then he slips away... Dax can't breath 
  34.     without an atmosphere, begins to drift helplessly as the 
  35.     ground, the environment, loses cohesion around her... gravity 
  36.     disappears...
