  18.     KIRA, O'BRIEN, DAX, BASHIR, and ODO are gathered around the 
  19.     Ops table.  Everyone is watching Kira as she reads a PADD.  
  20.     The mood is grim.  Kira finally puts her PADD down with a 
  21.     somber expression... she looks around at the other officers 
  22.     for a beat.  When she speaks, it is without rancor or 
  23.     recrimination... she is simply stating her position with 
  24.     quiet determination.
  25.  
  26.                     KIRA
  27.             We're in trouble, people.
  28.  
  29.     The others exchange weary looks... they've clearly been at 
  30.     this for a long time.

  32.                     KIRA

  34.             We've run seven simulations, and 
  35.             they've all come up the same: the 
  36.             Jem'Hadar overwhelm our defenses and 
  37.             board the station within two hours.

  39.                     BASHIR
  40.             Two hours doesn't even give us time 
  41.             to get reinforcements from Bajor.
  42.  
  43.                     DAX
  44.             There must be something we've 
  45.             overlooked.
  46.  
  47.     They all look at each other, hoping that someone else will 
  48.     come up with a brilliant plan, but finally O'Brien speaks 
  49.     for them all.
  50.
