  17.     In the center of the compound is a 4'x4' metal box.  The box 
  18.     has a few narrow breathing slots and has been placed 
  19.     strategically so as to remain in the hot sun for the longest 
  20.     possible time.  A casual glance might suggest it's just a 
  21.     storage bin of some sort.  Two colonists are opening it, 
  22.     removing a prisoner -- STEPHAN.  He's emaciated, too weak to 
  23.     stand unaided.  Joseph moves over to examine him...
