  15.     Bashir is tinkering in the companel.  O'Brien's still seated 
  16.     where we last saw him... his vision is dimmed to the point 
  17.     he can only make out shadows.  Bashir moves to the console, 
  18.     presses the panel...
  19.  
  20.                     BASHIR
  21.                 (reacting)
  22.             Chief... Chief!  It's working...
  23.                 (continues working 
  24.                 the panel)
  25.             The signal's very faint...
  26.  
  27.                     O'BRIEN
  28.                 (voice weak)
  29.             You'll have to shift... to a higher 
  30.             carrier frequency... go back into 
  31.             the companel... reset the actuators... 
  32.             on the chambers coil...
  33.  
  34.     Bashir goes to the companel, follows O'Brien's instructions.  
  35.     He returns to the console, presses the panel.

  38.                 (eyeing panel)
  39.             That's better... it's still pretty 
  40.             weak though...

  42.     Bashir's fingers fly across the console.

  44.                     BASHIR
  45.             I'm sending a distress signal.  I've 
  46.             set it to repeat every two minutes...
  47.                 (crosses to O'Brien)
  48.             Let's hope the T'Lani find us before 
  49.             the Kellerun do.
