  8.     there, we reveal that Quark's is open for business... and it 
  9.     is a beacon for the otherwise unlighted thoroughfare... people 
  10.     are arriving... we can see smiling faces for the first time...

  12. 69   INT. QUARK'S - CLOSE ON A SPINNING VERTICAL WHEEL

  14.     an alien version of roulette... moving to find the Ferengi 
  15.     Pit Boss running the game...
  16.  
  17.                     PIT BOSS
  18.             Fortune's fates are with you today, 
  19.             friends... prompt wagers, please... 
  20.             I'm sorry, Madame, Quark's does not 
  21.             accept travelers' vouchers... gold 
  22.             or hard currency, please... final

  25.     And as we continue to move to see a crowded, smoky gambling 
  26.     facility... various gaming tables, some games we recognize, 
  27.     some we don't... at one table, a voice yells --

  32.     And everyone at the table groans like someone lost big... we 
  33.     continue our move to see an alien musician playing a strange 
  34.     instrument... past the stairs, where a couple is being 
  35.     escorted up by a Ferengi... finally coming to the entrance 
  36.     where Sisko is ENTERING from the Promenade... glancing 
  37.     around... he moves toward the Bar...

  41.     Quark moves to him...

  44.             What'll you have, Commander?

  46.                     SISKO
  47.             How's the local synthale?

  49.                     QUARK

  51.                 (off Sisko's reaction)
  52.             I love the Bajorans... such a deeply 
  53.             spiritual culture... but they make a
