AIf you have no previously saved logbooks, ODYSSEY is launched with the default logbook name of 'Log1'
To change this to a name of your choice use
'Save as Shift+Ctrl+S'
The next action is to enter details of at least one aircraft into the Registration database.
Use 'Add registration Ctrl+Y'
Once details are saved then the registration appears on a picklist when adding a record to the logbook
ANB Before printing from ODYSSEY, select printer from Contol panel in main system screen and set 'No. of pages in preview' to 1
From within ODYSSEY,
Use 'Print setup Shift+Ctrl+P to select printer
Use 'Print preview Shift+Ctrl+V' to preview before printing
Use 'Print Ctrl+P' to print the current logbook view

If all or most columns are set to display and width of columns are set wide, it may not be possible to print all of the page

'All view Ctrl+L'
Displays all records in the logbook
'Filtered view Shift+Ctrl+L'
Displays only those records that match the current filter as set in 'Set 'view' parameters>Filter.. Ctrl+W'
(if a box in the params dialog is left blank, then no filter is applied to that particular field)
If the start and end date are the same, the date is ignored in the filter...this allows memorised filters to be updated automatically without having to reset the date parameters.
'Recency view Ctrl+R'
Displays all log records from today looking back X days as set in 'Set 'view' parameters>Recency... Shift+Ctrl+W'
Set the 'CAP371/FAR121 quick totals' to a suitable interval (1-366) days...these totals can be viewed by tapping on the 'Last xx days' text when in Recency view.
'Simulator view Ctrl+S'
Displays all simulator records
'Duty view Shift+Ctrl+D'
Displays all duty records from today looking back X days as set in 'Set 'view' parameters>Duty... Ctrl+Z'
1BUse 'Export logbook Ctrl+X' to save the current logbook view as a delimited text file
Choose a character to delimit the fields (e.g. Tab)
whatever character you use, ensure that it is not used anywhere in your log text
This file can now be opened in 'Excel' or any other spreadsheet with text file import facilities.
Use 'Import logbook Shift+Ctrl+I' to import a
delimited text file from 'Excel' or other spreadsheet or program.
The format must be the same as produced by Odyssey's 'Export' function.

The record will be auto sorted to appear in correct chronological order according to the entered date.
If you want the day/night split time of a flight automatcally calculated, ensure this feature is checked in 'Preferences Ctrl+K' (in this mode only ICAO codes may be used for from/to names)
