  3. This file accompanies the SIS installation of "Just What I Need"
  4. (JWIN) v2.10F for EPOC machines.

  6. Currently, this version has been verified to run on the Psion
  7. Series 5/5mx, Series 7, netBook, Revo, Geofox-One, Oregan
  8. Scientific Osaris and the Ericsson MC218.

  20. Last minute notes
  21. =================
  22. Please make sure you have read the file "ReadThis.txt" which
  23. came with this SIS installation of JWIN. This may contain
  24. very important last minute notes.

  26. About the Program
  27. =================
  28. JWIN for EPOC is a port ("transfer") of a program by the same name
  29. which runs on the Psion 3a/3c/3mx/Siena.
  30.  
  31. The original program was written because I wanted to have a useful
  32. collection of general utilities that were quick and easy to access,
  33. but didn't take up a huge amount of space. After much development and
  34. many refinements, I thought that the program was in an acceptable state
  35. to be publicly released, and more importantly, to be of use to other
  36. EPOC users. When the first EPOC machines were released, I tried
  37. to port JWIN as soon as possible so that all users could benefit from
  38. it's functionality.

  40. The program has been fully tested and appears to have no bugs, but if
  41. you find any or have a comment/suggestion for future versions then I

  55. Disabled Features
  56. =================
  57. JWIN is FULLY WORKING shareware. This means there are NO, yes
  58. that's correct NO, disabled features in JWIN while it's unregistered.
  59. All you will see to remind you to register is a nag screen on startup. If
  60. you exceed the 25 day evaluation period (see below), then you will also
  61. get a nag screen every time you switch to JWIN.

  63. Registration
  64. ============
  65. JWIN is distributed as Shareware - it is NOT free! You may use JWIN in
  66. it's unregistered form for 25 days. If, after this trial period, you find
  67. JWIN useful and want to keep using it, you MUST register.

  71. 1) Send 10 UK Pounds or 15 US Dollars (OR the equivalent in another
  72.    foreign currency PLUS 10% EXTRA) to:

  81. NO FOREIGN CHEQUES (CHECKS) PLEASE. Sorry, I know this is
  82. inconvenient, but the banks charge too much to convert and then
  83. cash cheques made out to me in foreign currencies - in most cases,
  84. they will charge MORE than the value of the cheques (checks) I
  85. have to deal with!

  87. Please also remember to include either your E-Mail address OR a
  88. stamped, self addressed envelope so that I will be able to send you
  89. your personalised key code which unlocks the program's features and
  90. gets rid of the nags.

  103. Company/multi-user use of JWIN requires an individual registration for
  104. *EACH* copy being used. However, I do offer significant "bulk buy"
  105. discounts on JWIN's price. If you want to take advantage of this,
  106. please contact me (see above for addresses etc).

  108. When registered you will be entitled to any future upgrades FREE, you
  109. also get to take advantage of the new versions before many users as
  110. they will appear on my homepage BEFORE they're released to other
  111. places (e.g. CompuServe's Psion Forum). Finally, you also get a direct
  112. say in future developments and more importantly a clear conscience!

  114. When it comes down to it, 10 UK Pounds isn't a lot to register and it'll
  115. help me develop future versions (and other programs). Besides, I don't
  116. have much time free as I'm a student, and so I need an incentive :-)

  120. To stop this readme file from getting to big, I've decided to leave
