Tanagers are small birds found throughout Brazil. They live in forests, orchards and city parks. The male has brightly colored blue and yellow feathers, and
the female has light-green feathers. They have a beautiful song and can imitate many other birds of the forest. Their scientific name, Euphonia, indicates that they sing very well, since in Greek ΓÇ£euΓÇ¥ means good, or pleasant, and phonia means sound.
