ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Key Sound ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Keys Dialog Box is used to associate key strokes with sounds.
Enter in the Key entry field to indicate the key that is to be setup. No
overtype is necessary as this field is a single character field only.
Output in the Code entry field is the scan code value for the key. A scan code
value may also be entered directly in this field. This field is mandatory.
Output in the Index entry field is the index value for the key. The index value
is used by other programs to generate audio from System Sounds. See the User
Guide for more information on the Developer Kit program interface.
Enter in the Key Description entry field as an optional description for the
key. Enter either text or numbers in this field. This field should be filled
in before the Open push button is selected.
Select Ctrl checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Ctrl is
struck in combination with the selected key. Ctrl may also be used in
combination with Alt and Shift.
Select Alt checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Alt is
struck in combination with the selected key. Alt may also be used in
combination with Ctrl and Shift.
Select Shift checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Shift is
struck in combination with the selected key. Shift may also be used in
combination with Ctrl and Alt.
Output in Filename entry field indicates the name of the file selected in the
open file dialog, which is a accessed by selecting the Open push button.
Select the Disable Keys checkbox to disable all key sounds. When selected all
key sounds are disabled and the associated .wav files are unloaded from memory.
Select the OK push button to exit this dialog box.
Select the Open push button to access the open file dialog and select a file to
associate with the key.
Select the Clear push button to clear the association between the current key
and the indicated filename. The Clear push button will only effect the key and
scan code which are listed.
Select the Help push button to view this help panel.
