In OS2You version 3.0 and PM2You version 1.2 the following
changes have been made:
Beta notes
==========
This package is a beta release. We are very interested in
getting reports about how it works with SPX and TCP/IP
communications, both success and failures.
There are some enhancements that we hope to include in
the released version, but that is not available or not
complete in this package:
* OS2You should be Telnet compatible and installable
as a Telnet daemon. Terminal/2 should be a Telnet
compatible client.
* We hope to be able to release a APPC driver.
* We are revising the keyboard handling/mapping in
OS2You.
* The TCP/IP driver needs 1 minute to re-establish
the listen, after a session is closed. We will
try to fix this.
We appriciate any comments or suggestions.
Even if this is beta, you are of course welcome to use
the included order form...<g>.
Improvements
============
OS2You is now easily translatable to foreign languages.
It is now possible to reboot the host by pressing Esc-r
for those having privilege for this.
OS2You can now receive faxes with a faxmodem and an external
fax receive program.
In some situations the modem can lose the configuration and
prevent a caller from ever begin answered by OS2You (like if
the modem power goes down). there is now an option in OS2You
to re-initialize the modem now and then.
DOS-box access re-enabled for OS/2 1.x (already present for
OS/2 2.x)
OS2You can now access any DOS character mode session, including
Windowed DOS sessions and they don't need to be in the foreground
any more.
Added support for Novell SPX communications.
Added support for TCP/IP (Internet) socket communications.
Fixes
=====
NetBIOS operation fixed/improved in OS2You, Terminal/2,
LanTerm2 and LanTerm.
DOS sessions could die during heavy keyboard input in OS/2
version 2.0.
OS2You could refuse to answer after disconnect if an external
program during the session changed COM-port status.
