  39.          Fel-X profile:   member OF the legendary MJJ demo-group from 
  40.                           France. After a long absence he brought the
  41.                           group   to  life  but  became  accused  for 
  42.                           destruction  of  good  MJJ's  name  (mainly 
  43.                           thanx   to  the  controversial  quality  of 
  44.                           slideshows).

  47.     Grey:   Salut Fel-X. First of all  let  me  shake your hand for this
  48.             brave decision to take part in  such a kind of "experience".
  49.             I really hope  you  will  leave  our  bloodless  ring with a
  50.             feeling of relief from the pain.  Tell  us what you want but
  51.             please try to stand the  criticism and find it constructive!

  65.     Grey:   Ok,  let's  start  with   a   short   story  concerning  MJJ
  66.             activities. This group was mainly  known from its high-class
  67.             Falcon prods,  creators  of  such  great  demos  as  "Mostly
  68.             Harmless" or "Canari" (still one  of my favourites!). I just
  69.             loved the mood in MJJ prods!  Not to mention the outstanding
  70.             code, great soundtrack and nice  graphics! Sh*t happened and
  71.             suddenly this crew disappeared from the face of the earth...
  72.             that was a big loss for the  Atari scene, no doubt. Have you
  73.             been conscious how RESPECTED your crew was?

  77.     Grey:   You reactivated MJJ after a long absence. It was really cool
  78.             to read on DHS www-site that this legendary crew was back to
  79.             demo-scene business. Especially 'coz ppl had GOT USED to the
  80.             HIGH QUALITY stuff released under  the MJJ label. "Touching"
  81.             it without such a consciousness was really DANGEROUS. And...
  82.             wot? After downloading the new  MJJ production, the new VERY
  83.             CONTROVERSIAL slideshow hit the  screen (really codeless and
  84.             worthless thing...). Sorry pal,  but  most sceners including
  85.             myself felt  a  huge  blow  in  the  face,  losing  teeth! I
  86.             couldn't believe it! That was really confusing to see such a
  87.             CRAP  released  under  MJJ's  wings...  Pics  were  brutally
  88.             converted down to 16 colours. There were no tricks used to
  89.             dig out more colours or something...

  93.     Grey:   I don't know if you have the possibility to watch stuff from
  94.             8-bit Atari scene but  a  few  (!)  years  ago Shadows did a
  95.             slideshow as well.  It  was  including  some crazy pics, you
  96.             could listen to some great  original music in the background
  97.             and watch a nice intro with  a big burning vector never seen
  98.             before on the XL/XE scene.  And  you  know what...?  How was
  99.             this slideshow titled by its authors...? ...Slideshit.

  101.             Any idea what to call your  work  then? (please keep in mind
  102.             that ST is a BIGGER and  YOUNGER machine than 8-bit Atari so
  103.             demands are set much higher!).

  107.     Grey:   And well, I have to  sympathise  with  my friends from other
  108.             diskmags like Moondog or STS who  rated this prod THAT low -
  109.             I just know exactly THAT  FEELING OF DISSAPOINTMENT! We were
  110.             MAD AT YOU, all the folx  responsible for destruction of the
  111.             good MJJ name! Try to  UNDERSTAND  IT  man. I don't know you
  112.             personally and maybe you are  a  cool  bloke to talk, drink,
  113.             smoke... gee, whatever  else!  But  ppl  look  also  at YOUR
  114.             ACTIVITY  -  You  are  not  ANONYMOUS  but  a  member  of  a
  115.             COMMUNITY. If you spread  something  then  prepare for sharp
  116.             opinions and flames of criticism  if it deserves this! Don't
  117.             receive EVERYTHING as a personal attack 'coz it's senseless.
  118.             Your reactions seen on DHS bbs seemed to prove that you have
  119.             been infected by the "at least I did something" virus...

  121.             Does the ST scene really need such mercilessly poor releases
  122.             in XXI age? Do we really  have  to  treat it as a dry sponge
  123.             accepting EVERYTHING, no  matter  whatit  represents? Did we
  124.             fall that low?

  128.     Grey:   Your latest slideshow (ah,  again!)  hopefully  shows a MUCH
  129.             higher level  and  contains  some  really  nice  and finally
  130.             *ORIGINAL* pics never seen before. Respect. Maybe it's proof
  131.             that you learned by  your  own  mistakes?  If  so  then I am
  132.             really *GLAD* to notice it!  And  that  you didn't decide to
  133.             stop your activities. Rebuilding the  good  name of MJJ will
  134.             surely take quite a lot of time, BUT... good luck with it!
