  28. Let's take a short trip  through  nostalgic  memories, when 8-bit machines were 
  29. floodin' our world, when possibilities and skills of PEOPLE were more important 
  30. to reach the required result  than  still expanding HARDWARE... we could choose
  31. between  Atari,  Commy  or  Speccy - pretty  different  machines with different 
  32. possibilities... what carefree times.... "carefree" but merciless... Technology 
  33. sped  up  and  8-bit  machines  became relics of computing in the minds of most 
  34. people... 
  35.  
  36. Surprisingly there is still a lot of  die-hard  Atarians, Commy and Speccy guyz 
  37. scattered  all  over  the  globe who support  these  machines till this day and 
  38. ignore  dis fuckin' mainstream around. They don't only rescue the fading memory 
  39. of  these machines... they  rescue  the  times  of  our  YOUTH. Nobody probably 
  40. remembers these cold wars from the past where everyone tried to prove that "his 
  41. machine is ruling da world while the rest is only useless garbage" ;-) But even 
  42. if they do so - that funny, continuous  rivalry  brought profits in the form of 
  43. cooler  demos  on  each system :) Atari was one of most spit at machines in the 
  44. 80s and became one of the most respected  8-bit  scene toys today :) Enemies of 
  45. Atari became the power of its success! :)

  47. Nowadays  the  8-bit  community seem to be united  going in the same direction. 
  48. They  drive on the same truck  and  wars  between them would be just senseless. 
  49. "Yeah, sounds  quite  logical" - You  would  say... but wot if someone's  brain
  50. didn't grow up with passing years? Someday I was surfing  the net and I found a 
  51. weird topic on one of the 8-bit Atari forums telling: "The Inaugural Commode 64 
  52. burning". At the beginning I didn't suspect anything... I threw an eye on it...
  53. and  hey, I can't believe it... some Speccy  buttholes  looking  like  monsters 
  54. native  from  X-Files movie gathered to... burn C64!! That was so AWFULL to see 
  55. them that EXCITED burning the computer from the same *8-bit* family!! They made 
  56. various views of it describing  each  stage of that... Huge smiles are drawn on 
  57. their  faces... it  seems  they  are  PROUD  doing  it!  Yeah, the old enemy is 
  58. burnin'...

  66. I just couldn't and still CAN'T believe that something like that happened these 
  67. days. I thought  that  such  events  like  "Forever" party for all 8-bitters in 
  68. Slovakia  are  the  best evidence  to  prove that the old war axe is buried for 
  69. good... It seems I've been wrong... :(
