  5. Thank you for your purchase.

  7. The MPC Wizard is the largest collection of Windows(tm) 3.1 drivers
  8. on a single disc.  This disc was produced to help millions of 
  9. Windows owners locate and install their VGA and sound drivers, especially
  10. when upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1.

  14. Please take note of the following:

  17. The drivers on this disk were the latest ones provided by board
  18. manufacturers when this disk was produced. The rights to the programs on
  19. this disc are owned by their respective manufacturers and are provided
  20. "AS IS" exclusively for their customers. They may not be redistributed
  21. in any form (including on a BBS) without the express written permission of
  22. the manufacturer. Aris Entertainment will supply technical support for
  23. "The Best of Media Clips" program included on this disc. However, drivers
  24. are provided by Aris Entertainment as a public service. If you encounter
  25. any problems with them, please contact the specific manufacturer. Aris
  26. Entertainment disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including
  27. merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

  29. We have attempted to make the installation process as painless
  30. as possible, but not every driver is installed the same way. Always try
  31. installing them through the MPC Wizard. All drivers for video and audio
  32. cards are located in the \WIZSETUP directory of the CD.
  33.  
  34. Several manufacturers have requested that we include demos or utilities
  35. with their drivers. They can be found in their respective subdirectories in
  36. the \WIZSETUP directory.

  38. Users of Quarterdeck's QEMM or other expanded memory managers who are
  39. installing new video drivers may need to add an EXCLUDE switch to the line
  40. that loads the program in their AUTOEXEC.BAT. See your memory manager's
  41. documentation for details.

  43. If necessary, see your "Windows User's Guide" for more information on
  44. installing drivers not supplied with Windows. Windows 3.1 users installing
  45. video drivers can also check the section "Using Specific Display Adapters
  46. with Windows Version 3.1" in the file README.WRI, located in the Windows
  47. directory.

  49. Many of the README text files in subdirectories of the \WIZSETUP directory
  50. were written by driver manufacturers, and may refer to the format in which
  51. their drivers were originally distributed (i.e., "floppy disk #1"). In most
  52. cases, substitute the path of the subdirectory the README file is located in
  53. for the floppy disk drive letter. But first try installing the driver by
  54. going through the MPC Wizard.

  56. The MPC Wizard will be regularly improved and updated. If there are other
  57. drivers you would like to see included, please contact Aris Entertainment.
