E_GUITR2.ARJ 1493856 11-20-94 E_Guitars v2.0 This archive contains several
guitar and bass patches from various sources.
Some were sampled off of the SCC-1
(Unfortunately)* and Kurzweil K2000 as well as
off of other synths. A few of them were
sampled from some of my instruments. A few
still were 'borrowed' from the ProPats v3.0
archive. The patches that were borrowed have
been modified by us so are not exactly the
same as the ones in the ProPats 3 zips. The
few patches that conform to the GM standard
have the proper GUS patch filenames. These
patches are mainly intended for use in
professional performances and are hereby
released to the Public Domain
E_REEDA1.ARJ 193042 11-20-94 E_Reed alpha 1 includes various reed patches.
We are totally unsatisfied with these patches
but wish to release them anyways in this
'alpha' format until we get enough time to
improve them. I think they sound a little
better than the default patches that come with
the GUS but are still far from done. Anyhow,
enjoy

to check if the installed version is
registered or not, to verify the available

waiting for a key to be pressed as a responce.
This will be usefull mostly for PWAD authors
that want to make sure the user has the proper
DOOM version and that the files haven't been
modified. It works with ERRORLEVEL codes, so
can be used in batch files. May not be all so
check it out

DOOMEDEX.ARJ 13575 10-26-94 DoomEd extras. This is a replacement for the
file things.def for DoomEd version 3,0 alpha
8, and probably DoomEd version 2,60 beta 4
too, but I don't use that so I don't really
know. Why would you want a replacement?
Because this replacement lets you use the
sprites from DOOM ][ with DoomEd, presuming
you have bought and paid for it that is. To
use it just copy it into your DoomEd directory
and be sure to change DOOM.WAD to DOOM2.WAD so
that you can use all the new textures for DOOM
][. When you have exported your WAD from
DoomEd and run IdBSPwat or something like that
you just have to use the program DOOM2WAD.EXE
to change the WAD DOOM (1) format into DOOM ][
format (E1M1 -> MAP01 etc)
DOOMGUS3.ARJ 6056 11-16-94 512k Patch Map for 1024k Gravis UltraSound

PLASFLMR.ARJ 83688 11-09-94 I was kinda disappointed in the flamethrower

in a deathmatch. So the next version was to
switch it so that the plasma (flamer) is
switched with the chaingun. Now you can get
the flamer that much easier
SANEWP20.ARJ 24483 11-17-94 Do you want a weapons patch that makes some of
the add-on PWADS survivable? Would you like a
chance to get through those PWADS that throw 2
or 3 Cyber Demons at a time at you without
cheating? Would you like to be able to make
it past some of the large groups of Barons and
etc. that Doom II throws at you. Do you hate
weapon patches that turn the guns into
insanely fast weapons that pretty much destroy
the game play balance of Doom or Doom II?
Basically all of the weapons have been sped up
to a degree. The BFG 9000, Plasmas gun, and
Rocket Launcher have been only mildly sped up.
Faster yes. Pseudo machine guns, no. It does
help in making encounters with Cyber Demons or
worse more survivable

BEAVIS.ARJ 728899 11-04-94 Beavis and Butthead Doom - Release v1.1.
Congratulations! You have downloaded the
greatest collection of replacement sounds for
DOOM ever released. Don't be fooled by
imitations, there is none higher. We came up
with this idea when we first found out about
DMAUD in February, 1994, and we redid most of
the sounds in September. Now it's finished,
and after you've played it once, you'll never
need any other sounds for DOOM again. The
other day we downloaded a few other Beavis And
Butthead DOOM pwad files to see how ours rated
with other peoples' ideas. Not to toot our
own horn, but, like uh, this kicks ass, and
that other stuff is hopeless
BEST.ARJ 4607 11-01-94 Okay, you have played doom wads for a long time
and you still have not found on you just love.
Now you have. This doom wad has several
aspects to it and for many it be a quick level
and for others it can be hell, seriously.
This wad took four engineers about six
straight weeks to complete working almost
non-stop 12 hours a day to bring this to you.
The scenery is new and scary as there are
dramatic canyons and never before seen
monsters. Also in this level there is
graphics that only a top notch engineer could
create. Go ahead and take this wad and your
life will change. From here on out you will
be happy and doomed... Are they KIDDING?
BLOODREV.ARJ 48139 11-22-94 A normal wad with 2 levels, with no dumb plot
BLOTWLZ3.ARJ 437797 10-29-94 These take place in levels 1 through 5 on
mission 1. They were created in the order
that they are played in, so the first level
seems less well rounded but level 4 has some
excellent design. These levels took me a long
time to create (learning Deu and thinking of
new mechanics.) I plan to release newer
versions later with more levels, better
graphics, and I'll brush up the early levels
even more. There are some graphics included
in this version (mostly textures for my house)
but most of the stuff is the same. The levels
are set so that if you choose medium
difficulty, it should be perfect for those who
need a challange. Easy is well ... pretty
easy. And Hard is not impossible (I've
completed it often, but I know where
everything is) but it is difficult. In order
to get the best value out of these levels I
suggest you DO NOT USE ANY CHEAT CODES. If it
seems to difficult at first, change the
difficulty level, and don't spoil the secrets.
I have worked hard to get the difficulty
where I wanted it for these levels

CRESCENT.ARJ 103538 11-01-94 The idea for the layout is borrowed from
STARWAR1.WAD by Matt Falk. In no way is this
wad connected to any of the tremendous wads in
the starwars series by Matt Falk. If his next
ones are as good as STARWAR1, then I will have
to buy some more floppy disks to store them.
The name of the wad is obtained from the shape
of the map. The story: As humanity reaches
out into the unexplored regions of space they
may encounter some less than friendly races.
One such incidence occurred a few years ago on
Pluto. The base, a sector of the Specialized
Planetary Defence (SPD) ring was overrun by
some nasty semi-humanoids with a bad attitude.
An unsuspecting marine on an inspection tour
landed and was suprised to find the base
crawling with "things" he had never seen
before. He had bad receptions before, but not
like this one

DDS1.ARJ 36921 11-22-94 It is a fight every step of the way, and (IMHO)
more what one might have expected of e2m1,
from the beating you take at the end of the
1st mission. It's got some pretty tricky
things in it, but the overall difficulty I'd
rate at about 60%-80% (doable). The next
installments will be much more difficult. I
really want to add a Metallica soundtrack to
the whole level to set a more, er, violent
tone (this may come along as I find time. Any
takers?)
DEATH8.ARJ 82175 11-01-94 This WAD is actually 2 wads that a friend and I
made. We have 4 more in progress. The third
should be out by next week. At that time
we'll release a DEATH2.WAD. This is getting
popular with my friends and we're going to put
together a whole episode. Look for it!
DEMO17.ARJ 13090 11-22-94 Since both Doom and Doom 2 use the same
Executable file, and ID says that Doom v1.666
is the last version of the original Doom, I
wanted to take advantage of the sound code
changes in Doom 2 v1.7a with the original
Doom. The problem is that the Doom.Wad file
contains Demos recorded in Doom v1.666, and
you get the "incorrect demo version" error.
So I sat down and recorded three quick little
demos and pout them in a Pwad to replace the
three demos in Doom.wad. (Please note, these
demos do not represent my Doom skill)
DM_ALPHA.ARJ 28047 10-29-94 You and your friends have decided to train on
grounds you may find on a real mission.
Within you find a temple with an exit leading
outside and a military battleground in which
to fight. You take a position and find your
friend scrambling to find his. That's when
you're up a FRAG. Each player starts with
exactly the same armor and weapons. Players
are judged on their skills to survive
DOMAIN1.ARJ 142478 10-29-94 This level is designed for deathmatch. It can
be played in single player mode, but it's a
bit easy, the exit might be a little hard to
find though. I have tested this wad in 1
Player mode, 2 player deathmacth and a 4 man
game, although it's average or a little small,
it's really fun with 4 people, teams or not

DUCOIONI.ARJ 111536 11-16-94 This WAD is a replacement for E1M1. Maybe some
of you will find it too big to be played in
deathmatch but I think it should be funny the
same! Originally it was full of barrels,
decorations and other nice things but when I
tried to save a game DOOM crashed. So I had
to delete hundreds of these decorations (sigh
!) in order for DOOM to save a game correctly

The only modification done to the level was to
replace all of the rocket ammo with bullet
ammo (rockets, I don't need no stinkin'
rockets). This is third or forth time I'm
done this level with only a pistol, but the
first time it recorded it properly. I got hit
several times by those flying skulls (man,
they're a pain) and only 3 times by an rocket
explosion (i.e., not the rocket itself, just

that would not be very fun. It's for chickens.
Can you steal the suits and make it out past
the Baron room??? If ya can, you are darn

ETERNITY.ARJ 470406 11-03-94 A full replacement for the second episode of
Doom (which means there are 8 levels - sorry,
no bonus level in this one, but you won't miss
it). In the months after the release of
SERENITY, we have been working hard to come up
with a worthy successor for it. ETERNITY has
the same look & feel as SERENITY has. In
ETERNITY you won't have to puzzle as much, but
for that more time has been put in the design
of the levels. We also think that ETERNITY is
slighty harder to play than SERENITY, but it
is still doable to play it at "Hurt me plenty"
without cheating

third area you can fight or run through. What
is different about this Wad that 300 others
don't have? Hint: look at the ceiling. No
bottlenecks: every spot has at least two

have to watch at least two places for enemies.

KENDM1.ARJ 24313 10-30-94 PWAD file for E1M1. Designed from the ground
up for deathmatch. Most actions / acquiring
of a weapon cause a sound so you generally
know exactly where other players are based on
the sounds they're making. It's been played
for (thousands of) hours with two player
deathmatch - it may be a bit small for 4
player deathmatch
KENDM2.ARJ 18666 10-30-94 PWAD file for E1M1. Again, designed from the
ground up for deathmatch only. This is a bit
smaller than the last and tends to be 'frag

careful and have fun with the rockets. Again,
probably too small for anymore than 2

it is probably a better replacement for E1M4
or E2M2. It includes an exit to the secret

exit takes a bit of fancy fingerwork to get to
as well! Only contains Weapons 1-5, but adds
a Plasma gun (and no extra cells) in
Deathmatch mode. I've tried to keep all
textures etc. pretty consistent, except for a
few special areas, and I think I've gotten rid
of all HOM effects
MAYAN666.ARJ 114336 10-30-94 Mayan666 is based on the architecture of the
ancient Mayan civilization. There is a large
open area containing four buildings, three of
which are pyramids. In the center is a sunken
court where a kind of soccer to the death was
once played. There are also three small
underground areas off the large open area.
See hint at the end of this file if you can't

secret passageways that my house obviously

of those that were hard to take, for it was

back to earth you just get past this mine and
notice that the noises that come from the
inside sound quite common. And you know that
no single one of these creatures may survive.
So you enter. I tried to make special rooms

WETWRKD1.ARJ 68425 11-22-94 We've lost contact with a small science outpost
located on the moon delta 9. UAC long range
scan indicates an enemy presence, the hell
spawn have redecorated and HQ doesn't like the
color scheme. No one really likes you much,
so we've decided to send you in alone, poorly
armed, with no fire support what so ever. If
you survive we'll swing by and pick you up
sooner or later, otherwise we'll be drinking
beer and pissing on your grave. Good Luck!!!

WHITRM2.ARJ 34207 11-01-94 E1M1 replacement PWAD. Named for the colour of

WOEFUL25.ARJ 23881 11-19-94 This version of Woefull.Wad is much improved
than Version 2.0 This version changes many of
the flaws that the original had
WOODHAL2.ARJ 32834 11-01-94 If you liked WOODHALL, you're gonna love this.
I've made the whole level much prettier, and
aligned all the textures properly (thanks,
Raphael.) No more boring identical rectangular
rooms. I've cut the light levels a bit to
reduce the shimmer, and fixed numerous small
map and monster behaviour bugs. The previous
version proved too easy, so there's lots less
health and a few extra critters. Favourite
playtester comment is still "_How_ many imps?"
If you haven't played WOODHALL, it's set in a
midsized wooden building; I've tried not only
to avoid playing "Collect all the textures",
but use only a few to create continuity. It's
low-tech: you're using the shotgun throughout
(almost), on sarges, imps, troopers and the
odd demon. It contains several unpleasant
surprises. The use of excessive gamma
correction is not recommended: it ruins the
looks of the level, and should prove
unnecessary anyway, as the level is well-lit.
It's most fun on first playing, as the
surprises ain't so afterwards. There is no
HOM AFAIK, and texture alignment seems to be
fine, by and large. There is no attack in the
room you start in

DHE21.ARJ 75647 11-04-94 DeHackEd v2.1 The premiere Doom.exe hack
editor! DeHackEd is capable of totally
restructuring the way Doom works. Peruse the
Thing tables in the Doom.exe file, and modify
them at will. Make fireballs invisible, make
missiles do 2000 points of damage, make demons
float! Edit the Ammo tables to help your
struggling Marine with more ammo! Edit the
Frame tables, and create new looking items, or
extra-fast shooting weapons! And save your
changes in patch files to distribute to your
friends. Create new types of deathmatches,
with plasma "mines" and super-fast wimpy
rockets. Wad developers can create new types
of monsters to distribute with their levels
great new possibilities! One patch file has
been included, an updated patch for
super-rapid-fire weapons for Doom ][ (thanks
for the original idea Chris!). Load it and
have at 'em! (Note: This patch is not
backwards compatible!) Every weapon has been
upgraded, and a few other effects have been
thrown in also, just for kicks

amazed, I promise!
DMGFX21.ARJ 247680 11-16-94 Change the way you look in a deathmatch
(wheeee) For this to work it should be 2
player match, and both players should have
these .deh files. Load up a monster you both
like with Dehacked, and start fragging! Will
also change the way weapons act according to
the monster. (Deathmatch Lmp recordings may
be used to view changes in each patch, but
non-missle firing monsters may cause problems
in the Lmp halfway thru...) File names pretty
much describe what each monster patch. Doom 1
monster patches may be used with Doom 1

file things.def for DoomEd version 3,0 alpha

Because this replacement lets you use the

you have bought and paid for it that is. To
use it just copy it into your DoomEd directory
and be sure to change DOOM.WAD to DOOM2.WAD so
that you can use all the new textures for DOOM

2DEFWADS.ARJ 70888 11-03-94 These are my ABSOLUTE favourite DeathMatch
Levels ever played! There are 2 levels
contained in this 1 wad file, they replace
MAP1 & MAP2 in DOOM ][. The first is titled
"MadMax2", sort of from the movie, but it's
like a big Arena and theres already tonnes of
levels called Arena something, so this is
MadMax2. Its small but very fast and intense.
I like the sprites and stuff used, it gives a
real sense of being locked up for BATTLE! The
second is titled "TheEscape". Dont know why
but its all i can think of right now. It's
very big, but as theres not that many nodes,
its still very fast through the Modem. This
one is my favourite, trust me, i have played
it for hours and I still cant get enough of
it! Theres a nice little bonus room if you
can figure out how to get in there, and who
knows, you may even be lucky enough to start
in there!
APT.ARJ 13013 11-14-94 My apartment, just like the title says! (DOOM
][) This is my first attempt at making a
PWAD, so be kind. BTW, my apartment is in

I started with the intent of making a DM only

ARGUS.ARJ 43024 11-22-94 This is the first of a series of levels, some
of which are completely revamped levels first
released as Sacrifice levels 1-6 for DOOM I.
These levels offer sophistication and puzzle
solving rather than just turning up the
volume. Children (you know who you are) may
be bored. Definite consideration was given to
consistency, theme and fairness. However, you
should remember that these are levels for DOOM
II, and that presupposes that you are an
experienced player

This is a must play!!! Very excellent. Also
pleasant single player game
CHASEME2.ARJ 19072 11-03-94 Yet another deathmatch WAD but only for DooM
II. I tried to make this work as a small
single player level aswell. Watch out when
you for the plasma gun, you might get trapped.
I deceided to include the BFG this time to
give your opponent maximum grief
CYBRDTH2.ARJ 88339 10-30-94 This is rev "B" of CYBRDETH.WAD. Rev "A" added
two Doom1 v1.666 compatible demos. This time
around, it has been converted to the Doom2
PWAD format. All three demos have been
replaced. The first one is a two player
DeathMatch demo and is *very* fast paced, the
last two are just to show that the level can
be completed in single play on skill 3 and
skill 4. To watch the demos, simply load
CYBRDTH2.WAD into Doom2 and let the game sit
for a few seconds and they will start to play
automatically

DM2GM1.ARJ 58061 11-04-94 A DOOM II combo deathmatch / single player wad,
designed for deathmatch) to allow for mad
dashes into the open under threat of sniper
fire, as well as dark ambush sites. Small
enough to allow for all-out slugfests as well.
Requires 2 switches be thrown to exit (not
cooperatively). There are no nasty tricks or
unsolvable traps. This wad designed for use
with DOOM II and replaces map01 (level 1)
DM2GM2.ARJ 58078 11-14-94 A DOOM II combo hunt'em deathmatch / single
player wad. Rather spread out, lots of open
areas with little obstruction. Take a while
and explore this wad, think you may find it
interesting. Contains 6 teleporter dest's.
Hmm, what else, oh yeah a Cyberdeamon and
Spider Demon together, should not be too tough
though, as the area has good vantage points /
sniper locations. There are no nasty tricks
or unsolvable traps. This wad designed for
use with DOOM II and replaces map01 (level 1)
DOOM2DM2.ARJ 42943 10-30-94 This is a NEW DEATHMATCH Only Level for Doom
][. Having received high praise for
DOOM2DM1.WAD (and also hving played it for
hours and hours) I decided to get to work on
the next in the series. This level is a bit
bigger than DOOM2DM1 but it is so
interconnected that the frag count will be
high. All weapons are present as is the
MEGASPHERE but to get it, you'll be easy meat
for your enemies
DUDE-II.ARJ 14733 10-30-94 This is a deathmatch only WAD. I started it on
DOOM 1 but when DOOM 2 came out I converted it
FIFIII.ARJ 21834 11-22-94 Out in the middle of Fifi's ocean of lava, you
must run across a skinny little bridge while
being fired upon by not one, but TWO
cyber-demons, among other things. This is
just a sample level from my Legend of Fifi
wad. It'll have a whole new episode (for
DOOM, not DOOM ][) with new graphics and sound
and junk. This one is definitely the hardest
of the pack. It'll probably take you an hour
or two before you can beat the thing, and in
between you'll be yelling and screaming like a
maniac due to the frustration. You'll see
FORTRESS.ARJ 46462 11-22-94 The baddies who you beat up in Doom 2 are not
completely destroyed. The last remaining
faction captured and took up residence in an
old castle. You have been sent to retake it.
This level will work with single player,
cooperative, deathmatch, and altdeathmatch
modes. If you can't figure out how to get
back up to the outer rim, there are
stair-ladders on the top, sides, and bottom of
the map
FOURPLAY.ARJ 105554 10-30-94 In the spirit of LEDGES comes this all out
deathmatch slugfest. All weapons are present,
but are situated in such a place that going
for them, puts the player at a perfect
position to be fragged by other players. GET
THE WEAPONS AND RUN! ALOT of time has been
spent figuring out the layout to be in such a
way that it makes for a FAST paced game and
there are minimal "skulking" positions. Don't
stand around! You'll get fragged! The exit
requires two people to complete the board
FRAGME.ARJ 28979 11-15-94 This DOOM II pwad was designed specifically
with 2-player Deathmatch 2.0 in mind. It
features MANY different sector heights, good
sniper spots, and some dark corners to hide
in. All weapons are present except the BFG (I
don't like it in deathmatch). There are just
enough monsters to keep things interesting.
If you don't like the number of weapons
available (or the number/type of monsters) try
a different difficulty setting. Plays great
with -respawn!! This level has a cooperative
exit
GRUDGE01.ARJ 19865 11-15-94 This Wad is for DOOM ][ only. Eventually, this
will be part of a 10 level DM only Wad.
Deathmatch level for Doom 1.666. This level
is fast and furious fun for 2 people. With
more than 2 people, up goes the frag counts!
Feedback is always welcome
ITP1_V2C.ARJ 237693 10-30-94 This WAD started out as a test for what a
WAD-editor can do since I recently found out
you really can make your own WADs. Tip: there
are a lot of illusionary walls around this
place that's for sure. I should have replaced
DEMO2 with an LMP but after 15 minutes the
demo screws up. So instead in the ARJ-file I
included the LMP of me completing the WAD
getting as many percent as I could, of course
on ultra violence. The LMP seems to work fine
but not if I (with DoomEd 3,0 alpha 8) convert
it to a demo. Included in the WAD, at MAP02,
is also an demo of my next WAD, or the next
after that. DEMO1 is also replaced with a
quite astonishing LMP of me getting no damage
at all on ultra violence and getting to t he
end of the WAD (it is not ready yet which you
certainly will see). Hey maybe I will make a
whole new episode, who knows (your hateful or
whatever
KEEPMOV1.ARJ 26332 11-18-94 Purely deathmatch! Designed to keep you and
your opponents on your toes. In deathmatch
mode everyone starts with one of four weapons
and you keep that weapon, until you die. Ammo
at one end, health at the other, and plenty of
frags in between. Watch your back, aim well,
and KEEP MOVING! After testing several
different setup options, we came to the
conclusion that the best play was with
Deathmatch 2.0 and respawning monsters. Try
it like that! It really keeps the action
going. The map contains every weapon, most of
bonuses, and yes, there is an exit
KOKO.ARJ 30074 10-30-94 Deathmatch WAD for DOOM ][, ambush sights

Also a pleasant single player game
MARKII.ARJ 11342 10-30-94 This WAD is a big area good for multiplayer

MYHOUSE.ARJ 56166 11-15-94 This is a completely blueprint accurate WAD of
my house. I designed the level so my friends
who don't have doom can come over to play Doom
via modem would know the level without having
to ask me which way to turn all the time. I
also added a few underground tunnels and
secret passageways that my house obviously
doesn't have. There are hidden teleporters,
detailed furniture, and a couple great hiding
places. Even though the size of the file is
large, the level itself is not that big. It
is because of the furniture. Be sure to check
out the fireplace and Bathroom's with moving
toxic waste!!! This is my first attempt at
creating a WAD so please be kind
MYHOUSE2.ARJ 55493 11-22-94 This is the Doom ][ version of my Wad file,

SABREMAU.ARJ 6833 11-17-94 It's just a simple Deathmatch 2 WAD for Doom 2,
with some optional monsters which can be
respawned in Deathmatch to spice things up.
The weapons change depending on the skill
level you're on
SABRMAU2.ARJ 15120 11-22-94 From first look, it looks like SABREMAU.WAD,
but in a few seconds, you notice the mass
amount of goodies in the middle! You race for
it to grab all you can before your
opponent(s), and.. (I won't spoil the
surprise for you. ) This deathmatch .wad for
Doom 2 is based off of the main room of
sabremau.wad, but the similarity ends there.
The level is dark (I designed it that way) and
a hidden passage contains a super shotgun and
a light-amp, so you will be able to see your
opponent(s) better than usual for a while.
This level is best played with -altdeath, but
it can be played with regular deathmatch
SPANKME2.ARJ 15500 10-30-94 This is an update of spankme to run with DooM

theme to theis level and its fairly simple,
just a whole heap of good clean fraggin' fun
UNDERGRD.ARJ 71272 10-30-94 This is a DOOM II DEATHMATCH pwad. Blast your
way through old underground stations and
monster crawling streets. Explore the long
dark tunnels. Raid the buildings, but watch
your back!!. There are plenty of monsters to
kill before the real fraggin' can begin, so
this will get you warmed up. If you don't want
any monsters, use the -nomonsters option when
loading
