  3. Welcome to the Graphiti section of the Media Gallery CD!
  4. The software in this area is ONLY for the following
  5. SPEA Graphiti series boards:
  6.  
  7.   Boards with a Hitachi processor:
  8.   (Directories: PAINTER, GALLERY, PAINT_GAL)
  9.   - Painter
  10.   - Gallery
  11.  
  12.   Boards with a TMS processor:
  13.   (Directories: FGA, HILITE, HIL_FGA)
  14.   - FGA
  15.   - FGA860-HE
  16.   - HiLite
  17.   - HiLite Pro

  19.   Boards and subsystems with an i860 processor:
  20.   (Directories: FIRE, GX, FIRE_GX)
  21.   - FIRE
  22.   - FGA860-GX

  24. Creating Installation Disks
  25. ---------------------------
  26. In order to install software for these boards from the Media Gallery CD
  27. it is necessary to create installation disks. This is done by simply
  28. changing to the respective directory on the CD and by copying its
  29. contents onto a 1.44MB disk (a DOS label is not necessary). If several
  30. subdirectories exist (DISK1, DISK2 etc.) then you must create a
  31. separate disk for each subdirectory.

  33. Structure on the CD
  34. -------------------
  35. To enable you to find the software you need quickly, we have created
  36. a directory structure which has 4 main groups:
  37.  
  38.   - SUPERDSK   (contains the last release of the Superdisk software -
  39.       BOARD     the installer and all drivers)
  40.         DISK1
  41.  
  42.   - DRIVERS    (individual drivers, possibly newer than those
  43.       DRIVERS   on the Superdisk, or not contained there, as
  44.         BOARD   they became available at a later date)
  45.           DISK1
  46.  
  47.   - TOOLS      (Add-on software)
  48.       BOARD
  49.           DISK1
  50.  
  51.   - DEVPMNT    (Development software, e.g. for 2D and 3D applications)
  52.       TOOLKIT
  53.  
  54. Installing from the Disks
  55. -------------------------
  56. After you have copied the software to the disk(s), read the
  57. README.ENG file located in the source directory (e.g.
  58. ...\SPEA\GRAPHITI\SUPERDSK\FIRE\DISK1\README.ENG
  59. This contains further information about the installation and
  60. any last-minute changes. If the installation of a particular
  61. application is not described there, the description in the
  62. manual you received with your board applies.

  64. Release-Information
  65. -------------------
  66. The version numbers of the software are stated in the README.ENG
  67. of the respective subdirectory for each software package.
