Introduction ------------ Welcome to the Graphiti section of the Media Gallery CD! The software in this area is ONLY for the following SPEA Graphiti series boards: Boards with a Hitachi processor: (Directories: PAINTER, GALLERY, PAINT_GAL) - Painter - Gallery Boards with a TMS processor: (Directories: FGA, HILITE, HIL_FGA) - FGA - FGA860-HE - HiLite - HiLite Pro Boards and subsystems with an i860 processor: (Directories: FIRE, GX, FIRE_GX) - FIRE - FGA860-GX Creating Installation Disks --------------------------- In order to install software for these boards from the Media Gallery CD it is necessary to create installation disks. This is done by simply changing to the respective directory on the CD and by copying its contents onto a 1.44MB disk (a DOS label is not necessary). If several subdirectories exist (DISK1, DISK2 etc.) then you must create a separate disk for each subdirectory. Structure on the CD ------------------- To enable you to find the software you need quickly, we have created a directory structure which has 4 main groups: - SUPERDSK (contains the last release of the Superdisk software - BOARD the installer and all drivers) DISK1 - DRIVERS (individual drivers, possibly newer than those DRIVERS on the Superdisk, or not contained there, as BOARD they became available at a later date) DISK1 - TOOLS (Add-on software) BOARD DISK1 - DEVPMNT (Development software, e.g. for 2D and 3D applications) TOOLKIT Installing from the Disks ------------------------- After you have copied the software to the disk(s), read the README.ENG file located in the source directory (e.g. ...\SPEA\GRAPHITI\SUPERDSK\FIRE\DISK1\README.ENG This contains further information about the installation and any last-minute changes. If the installation of a particular application is not described there, the description in the manual you received with your board applies. Release-Information ------------------- The version numbers of the software are stated in the README.ENG of the respective subdirectory for each software package. SPEA Software AG AvT/30.6.95
