  4. Do you have trouble remembering IMPORTANT dates?  Like your anniversary? Or a
  5. parent's birthday?  Or a dinner date with someone special?

  7. Now GEnie helps you remember those important dates with the GEnie Reminder
  8. Service!  Never again will you need to experience that sinking feeling when
  9. someone says, "You forgot AGAIN?"
  10.  
  11. Through GEnie Reminder you can enter important information about ANY upcoming
  12. event ... whether it's next week, next month or next year. Just tell GEnie the
  13. date you want to be reminded and on that date the reminder you entered will be
  14. delivered to your GE Mail address.
  15.  
  16. And theres's more!  You won't have to pay anything extra for using the GEnie
  17. Reminder Service.  It's included at GEnie's STANDARD CONNECT RATES!

  23. GEnie Reminder Service Instructions

  26. The GEnie Reminder Service allows you to create a message to yourself regarding
  27. important dates or events in the future and specify a date on which the letter
  28. will be delivered in GE Mail.  Reminders can also be queued for other GEnie
  29. members.

  58. 3 - Enter a Reminder

  61. When you select Option 3 from the GEnie Reminder Service menu GEnie will prompt
  62. you for the date the reminder is to be delivered.  You may specify a date up to
  63. three years in the future.  The format for the delivery date is:
  64.  
  65.   YYMMDD
  66.

  69.   YY = Year
  70.   MM = Month
  71.   DD = Date
  72.  
  73. GEnie will then request the GE Mail address which is to receive the reminder.
  74. You will also be given the option of adding other GE Mail addresses to the
  75. Carbon Copy list.  (Note - Only one address may be specified for the TO:
  76. address.)

  78. Once addressing is complete you will be prompted to enter your
  79. reminder/message.  You will enter your reminder using the same line editor
  80. available in GEnie's bulletin board.  Wait for the 1> prompt before beginning
  81. to type.  Make sure you press <RETURN> at the end of each line (don't type more
  82. than 80 characters for any one line) and wait for the next line number prompt
  83. before continuing with your reminder.  You may also elect to compose your
  84. reminder offline and upload it.

  86. For help with commands in the GEnie Reminder Service editor, type *H as the
  87. only two characters at a line-number prompt.  When your reminder is complete,
  88. type *S as the only two characters as a line-number prompt to save your
  89. reminder.

  92. 4 - Display all your Reminders
  93. ------------------------------

  95. The "Display all your Reminders" option allows you to view any reminders that
  96. are queued for delivery.  You can either display or delete reminders with this
  97. option.

  100. into the GEnie Reminder Service NOW!

  102. To access this service just enter REMIND at any GEnie main menu prompt. 
  103. Please remember that this service is not included in the GEnie*Basic
  104. Services.
