  11. ║   In addition to the "document translator program" of AIT    ║
  12. ║   we developed several lists of words in foreign languages.  ║
  13. ║   It takes at least three months of editing and testing such ║
  14. ║   a list of about ten thousand translations. At this moment  ║
  15. ║   we have completed (within our aim) the following modules:  ║
  16. ║                                                              ║
  17. ║       1: English -> Dutch  and  Dutch -> English             ║
  18. ║       2: English -> German and  German -> English            ║
  19. ║       3: German  -> Dutch  and  Dutch -> German              ║
  20. ║       4: French  -> Dutch  and  Dutch -> French              ║
  21. ║       5: Indonesian -> Dutch &  Dutch -> Indonesian (probe)  ║

  23. ║   At this moment we are working on two more languages for    ║
  24. ║   addition to the VOC-AIT translation library, Indonesian +  ║
  25. ║   Polish. We are confident that the AIT translator can bring ║
  26. ║   more understanding between the nations on the earth.       ║
  27. ║                                                              ║
  28. ║   Not being able to produce more culture linking modules in  ║
  29. ║   a reasonable time, we decided to ask a modest contribution ║
  30. ║   to the cost of development. For this moment, we accept a   ║
  31. ║   contribution of $ 50 for each module containing a basic    ║
  32. ║   translation of app. 10.000 words visa versa of a language. ║
  33. ║                                                              ║
  34. ║   If you are willing to contribute to the extension of the   ║
  35. ║   VOC Word Library, you are invited to send us in any (not   ║
  36. ║   VOC registered) language, the translation of the english   ║
  37. ║   word list in the standard module. On disk of course !!     ║
  38. ║   People who contribute (if possible and appropriate) will   ║
  39. ║   get compensation for their efforts in a way that promotes  ║
  40. ║   the development of the AIT Translator (c) and the buildup  ║
  41. ║   of the VOC Word Library (c).                               ║
  42. ║                                                              ║
  43. ║   The responsibility for the translation resides with the    ║
  44. ║   VOC Foundation entirely, but can under no circumstances,   ║
  45. ║   or what so ever, lead to any claim for damages.            ║
  46. ║                                                              ║
  47. ║   The objective of the VOC Word Library is focused entirely  ║
  48. ║   on the cultural side of life, and not on business.         ║
  49. ║   Another option is, that by using the VOC Word Library with ║
  50. ║   the AIT Translator, the use of the native language will be ║
  51. ║   improved substantially. This side effect was experienced   ║
  52. ║   by us significantly.                                       ║

  54. ║   Concerning the near unification of Europe, we consider the ║
  55. ║   cooperation between AIT, VOC and all users an important    ║
  56. ║   contribution to make the world a better and safer place.   ║

  73. ║   We do suggest everybody to try and translate the ENGLISH   ║
  74. ║   words in any database connected to the english language.   ║
  75. ║                                                              ║
  76. ║   The nicest way to get a broad range of translations of     ║
  77. ║   any language to english, is to start a translation with    ║
  78. ║   first letter of your own name. Doing this, even partial    ║
  79. ║   efforts to do the job (say just some 800 words), can be    ║
  80. ║   useful to all of us.                       ║
