  10. Control Printer
  11. In the Control Printer dialog, a secondary percentage processed
  12. counter now displays the progress of imaging graphics figure box,
  13. sending graphics bit map data, and sending page data.
  14.  
  15. Customizable GUI Display 
  16. Users can customize elements of the Graphics and Page Mode
  17. display including Document Background, Document Foreground,
  18. Dialog Boxes, and the Mouse Pointer.
  19.  
  20. Fax 
  21. WP6.0 DOS users can now choose from default fax resolutions of
  22. Standard, Fine, 300dpi, or 400dpi.  If the default resolution is
  23. greater than what the fax device can utilize, WP6.0 DOS will
  24. create the fax image with Fine resolution.
  25.  
  26. WP6.0 DOS can include a cover sheet with every fax it sends.  If
  27. this option is selected, a default cover sheet is sent unless the
  28. user chooses a different cover sheet for each fax.
  29.  
  30. Fax files can be automatically deleted after a fax is sent.  If
  31. this option is selected, the file is deleted, although the "fax
  32. send" will appear on the Send Log.
  33.  
  34. Support has been added for Communicating Applications
  35. Specification (CAS) software above version 1.20 and for Intel NET
  36. SatisFAXtion.
  37.  
  38. File Manager
  39. "Find" conditions for a specific date or range of dates has been
  40. added.  This feature no longer requires the document to be saved
  41. with a Document Summary.
  42.  
  43. Graphics 
  44. Formerly, if several Graphics Boxes and/or Graphics Lines
  45. overlapped, only one of the boxes or lines was selectable using
  46. the mouse.  WP6.0 DOS will now allow you to select any of the
  47. overlapping boxes and lines by clicking on the box or line using
  48. the right mouse button.  A pop-up menu appears, permitting you to
  49. select the box or line you choose.

  51. Chart data is now kept intact when converting back and forth
  52. between WP Presentations 2.0 and WP6.0 DOS.
  53.  
  54. Headers and Footers 
  55. Headers, Footers, Endnotes, and Footnotes can now be edited in
  56. Page mode by double clicking on them.  If two headers or footers
  57. are on the same page, users can right click on the header/footer
  58. region and have the option to choose which header or footer they
  59. want to edit.
  60.  
  61. HPGL Vector Printing
  62. HP LaserJet 4 and compatible printers will print lines and fills
  63. faster.
  64.  
  65. Install
  66. A new check for disk space has been implemented in the
  67. installation program.  It first determines the available disk
  68. space on the specified drive.  If the available disk space is
  69. less than the total of marked file types, users are not allowed
  70. to continue.

  72. During installation, users can choose to have their AUTOEXEC.BAT
  73. files modified in order to have Shell start automatically.

  75. Printable Help and Macro Documentation 
  76. Any Help screen, including the online Macro documentation, can
  77. now be printed by pressing Shift-F7 or selecting Print from the
  78. pull-down menu or Button Bar.
  79.  
  80. QuickFinder
  81. QuickFinder has added three new capabilities:  Indexing text in
  82. Headers, Footers, Footnotes, Endnotes, etc.; indexing text in
  83. .WPG images; and indexing only the filename of files.

  85. Replace
  86. The Search Codes list and Replace Codes list now have an Add
  87. button that allows users to insert a code into the search/replace
  88. string without exiting the codes list.
  89.  
  90. Shipping Macros
  91. There is now a DROPCAP.WPM macro that will make the first
  92. character a Drop Cap.
  93.  
  94. Sort
  95. Users can now turn Allow Undo off for Sort and Generate.  These
  96. options are independent of Allow Undo in Environment under Setup. 
  97. Disallowing Undo will make the Sort and Generation faster.
  98.  
  99. Tables - Reformat All Numbers 
  100. The Columns/Tables dialog box now contains "Reformat All
  101. Numbers."  This option allows users to update table cells to
  102. include formatting option changes that can be set outside of a
  103. table and that affect the display of   table cells.  For example,
  104. alterations could include date format, changing the decimal align
  105. character, and changing the document language.
  106.  
  107. The font attribute shortcut keys have been activated in table
  108. edit mode.  When editing a table, Ctrl-B (Bold), Ctrl-U
  109. (Underline), Ctrl-I (Italics), and Ctrl-N (Normal) will toggle
  110. the cell attribute.
  111.  
  112. The Quick Table Lines option speeds up the display of tables. 
  113. When Quick Table Lines is activated and the display is set to
  114. Graphics or Page Mode, table lines, borders, colors, and fills
  115. will not be displayed.  Instead, a single, thin, grey line will
  116. be displayed to represent cell boundaries.  Table Edit mode will
  117. continue to display all table lines, borders, colors,   and
  118. fills.  Because this is a display only option, Print Preview and
  119. printing are not affected.
  120.  
  121. WP5.1 DOS SET File Conversion 
  122. All 5.1 *.SET files will convert.  WP checks to see if there is a
  123. 6.0 *.SET file, and if one is not found, it checks for a 5.1
  124. *.SET file and converts it.
