  11. Spreadsheets Functions in Tables
  12. Now you can create your own spreadsheets without ever leaving
  13. WordPerfect.  Use our Tables feature to build spreadsheets of up
  14. to 64 columns and over 32,000 rows.  Then try our more than 100
  15. spreadsheet functions and operators to create formulas.  And if
  16. you want to import spreadsheets from Lotus 1-2-3, Quattro Pro,
  17. Excel, or PlanPerfect, it's easy to do that too.

  19. WYSIWYG Editing
  20. WordPerfect 6.0 has two graphic editing modes for true What-You-
  21. See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) editing.  Our Graphics mode allows
  22. you to see all fonts, graphics, line numbering, and attributes
  23. exactly as they'll appear when you print them  without having to
  24. go into a preview screen.  The Page mode gives you all the
  25. benefits of the Graphics mode and lets you see your headers,
  26. footers, footnotes, and endnotes as well.

  28. Coaches
  29. WordPerfect 6.0 is proud to introduce the new WordPerfect Coaches
  30. feature.  A simple click or keystroke brings up an easy
  31. interactive dialog that will guide you step by step through many
  32. WordPerfect features.

  34. Graphics Capabilities
  35. If you have a mouse you can click on a graphic and drag it
  36. anywhere in your document and the text will automatically
  37. reformat around it.

  40. If you have the proper fax board or fax modem, you can send and
  41. receive faxes directly from WordPerfect 6.0.  That's because 6.0
  42. supports FaxBios technology and supplies the drivers for Class 1,
  43. Class 2, or CAS compliant fax devices.

  45. Scalable Fonts
  46. Version 6.0 has internal support for Bitstream Speedo , Type 1,
  47. CG Intellifont, and TrueType scalable fonts.

  49. QuickFinder
  50. QuickFinder is a great new technology that makes searching
  51. directories a quick, painless task.  QuickFinder indexes selected
  52. files from any directory, subdirectory, or disk, and rapidly
  53. searches them for key words and phrases.  You can even search
  54. multiple drives and directories (both local and network) at the
  55. same time.

  57. Selectable Merge
  58. WordPerfect's improved Merge feature gives you the freedom to
  59. tailor a merge to your specifications.  You can set up in-depth
  60. conditions for your merge, like selecting only all Smiths living
  61. in Texas with a specified ZIP Code.  And to make merge even
  62. easier, WordPerfect can create an envelope for each record 
  63. without ever leaving Merge.

  65. Grammar Checker
  66. The world's best-selling word processor now includes the world's
  67. most popular grammar checker Grammatik.  Choose from over ten
  68. writing styles including Business Letter, Memo, and Fiction to
  69. find an appropriate tone for each document.

  71. Nine Documents/Windowing
  72. WordPerfect 6.0 lets you keep up to nine documents open at the
  73. same time, view and size them in Cascade or Tile mode, and cut
  74. and paste among them with an ease never known in a DOS product.

  76. Envelopes/Bar Codes
  77. Once you've typed a letter, simply select the Envelope feature. 
  78. WordPerfect will automatically read the mailing address from your
  79. letter and insert it on the envelope size of your choice.  You
  80. can set a default return address or type one in.  And WordPerfect
  81. will even create and insert a bar code for any 5-, 9-, or 11-
  82. digit ZIP Code in your mailing address.

  84. Color Printing
  85. WordPerfect 6.0 will let you print color graphics to any printer
  86. that supports graphics and color.

  88. Collapsible Outlines
  89. See the big picture by collapsing your larger documents into
  90. outline form.

  92. Tokenized Macros
  93. WordPerfect 6.0 includes result-oriented (rather than keystroke-
  94. oriented) tokenized macros.  The program contains fifty new
  95. programming commands to make a total of 99.  You can easily build
  96. dialog boxes that look and feel like the existing WordPerfect 6.0
  97. dialogs.  Tokenizing the macro language also makes macro
  98. compatibility across platforms easier.  A macro conversion
  99. utility is included with the program, designed to make macro
  100. conversion from WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS easy.

  102. Bookmark
  103. You can place one or more Bookmarks throughout a document and
  104. then move quickly to each Bookmark from any place in the
  105. document.

  107. QuickMark
  108. QuickMark is a generic bookmark.  At the end of a computing
  109. session, a QuickMark is automatically inserted at the point in
  110. the document where you were last working.  When the document is
  111. reopened, a single keystroke will move the cursor to the marker. 
  112. This eliminates the need to scroll through the document to the
  113. desired location.

  115. Borders
  116. You can select a border style (inside and outside spacing, border
  117. lines, shading, and corners) for creating graphics, tables,
  118. paragraphs, columns, or pages.  Because the outside lines of a
  119. table are now treated as borders (rather than lines that
  120. correspond to each cell) manipulation of tables is more
  121. intuitive.

  123. Sound
  124. Sound clips can be recorded and played in any WordPerfect 6.0
  125. document.  You can use the sound feature to dictate a message or
  126. comment about an existing file.  The feature will also allow you
  127. to pause the playing of a sound clip as you work, so actual
  128. dictation is possible using only WordPerfect 6.0 and the
  129. necessary hardware.  A sound clip appears in the document as a
  130. comment that describes what the sound clip contains.

  132. Button Bars
  133. You can assign frequently used features or macros to as many
  134. Button Bars as you like.  By clicking on a specific button, you
  135. automatically execute the feature or macro assigned to that
  136. button.  The Button Bar is available in all editing modes, Print
  137. Preview, and the Graphics Image Editor.

  139. Ribbon
  140. The Ribbon allows you to choose a font, change justification, or
  141. select tabs by clicking on one of the Ribbon pop-up lists.  It is
  142. accessible in Text mode, Graphics mode, and Page mode.
