  16. SIZE.

  18. Tabernacle of Moses: width 10 cubits length 30 cubits height 10
  19. cubits.  Temple of Solomon: 20 cubits 60 cubits 30 cubits

  21. Solomon's Temple was twice the width and breadth - speaks of
  22. double portion of Manna on 6th day.  The end is greater than the
  23. beginning.

  25. It was three times higher - indicating a higher realm of the
  26. spirit which is to be attained today in comparison with yesterday.
  27. Yesterday's revelation and manna is not sufficient for today.  We
  28. need more.
  29.  
  30. This all shows the necessity for a greater capacity to contain the
  31. fullness of truth and glory which is to be revealed at this end of
  32. the age.
  33. "Enlarge thy borders - stretch out thy stakes."

  35. FURNISHING.

  37. 1.   10 Candlesticks instead of one - ten times more light will be
  38.      revealed at this end of the age.  Needs to be a greater
  39.      capacity to contain all this light.

  41. 2.   10 Tables of Shewbread instead of one - a greater depth of
  42.      fellowship and communion to be attained today in comparison
  43.      with yesterday.

  45. 3.   10 Lavers instead of one - 10 times the amount of cleansing.
  46.      Held 40 baths each. 10 x 40 - 400, affliction.  Gen.15:13;
  47.      23:15.
  48.      N.B. the number 10 always signifies testing, trying, Rev.2:
  49.      10.  It speaks of our faith being tested and tried producing
  50.      pure gold - perfection.

  52. 4.   12 Loaves on each Table - 12 speaks of perfect government,
  53.      submission to His rule.
  54.  
  55. 5.   120 Loaves altogether - 120 speaks of the end of all flesh.
  56.      As we become partakers of the bread, we will then experience
  57.      the end of all flesh and submission to His government.  Gen
  58.      6:3.

  60. 6.   70 Lamps - 70 speaks of fruitfulness, the number from which
  61.      comes increase and blessing.  Gen. 11: 26; Ex. 1: 5. (70 went
  62.      into Egypt but a multitude came out).  Deut.10:22; Dan.9:24.

  64. PREPARATIONS FOR TEMPLE. 1 Chron.22-29.

  66. 1.   David prepared for the temple.  Our heavenly David (Jesus),
  67.      by his death and resurrection prepared for the perfection and
  68.      completion of the church.

  70. 2.   Masons were to hew and build. 22:2.  Speaks of five
  71.      ministries of Eph.4:11.

  73. 3.   Iron for nails 22:3.  Truths revealed through His finished
  74.      work are the security for our faith during testings and
  75.      storms.  Heb.6. Foundational Truths - nails, 2 Pet. 1:12.

  77. 4.   Brass without weight. 22:3.
  78.      (a)  for the altar to endure fire.
  79.      (b)  for pillars - strength, stability.
  80.      (e)  judgment.

  82. 5.   Cedar trees cover (hide) stones. 22:4.  Speaks of the
  83.      "truth" of being hid in Christ.

  85. 6.   Gold 22:14.  Deity, His nature, presence covers us.

  87. 7.   Silver 22:14.  Full benefit of the finished work of Calvary.

  89. 8.   Stones 22:14.  We are the living stones, 1 Pet.2:5
  90.      predestined to be conformed to His image and likeness.

  92. 9.   Skilled workmen 22:15.  Ministers trained and skilled for
  93.      specialised ministries.

  95. 10.  To work in gold. 22:16.  Men with revelation of His nature
  96.      and deity (gold) imparting it to the living stones, so that
  97.      they may be hid in His deity and nature.
  98.  
  99. 11.  To work in silver 22:16.  Salvation, evangelist works in
  100.      silver.
  101.  
  102. 12.  To work in iron 22:16.  Teacher ministry, "teaching truths"
  103.      that will establish the Church in Him.
  104.  
  105. 13.  All leaders gathered together by Solomon 23:2.  Today the
  106.      Holy Spirit is uniting the hearts of His ministers.
  107.      Those gathered were princes, priests, levites.  These built
  108.      the Temple under the leadership of Solomon (Holy Spirit).
  109.      N.B. The high qualifications, the standards of holiness and
  110.      separation for these men.  This shows that God will only use
  111.      today men with high standards of holiness and separation, to
  112.      build His spiritual Temple under the leadership of the Holy
  113.      Spirit.

  116.      24,000 to build - Ministers under authority.
  117.      6,000 officers, judges - Apostolic authority to guide other
  118.      ministries. 4,000 porters - Shepherds, Pastors, Guards.
  119.      4,000 praising with instruments - shows the importance,
  120.      during the construction of the Spiritual Temple, of praise
  121.      and instruments.

  123. 14.  Spirit of giving.  David sets the example of giving in
  124.      29:3-5.  Jesus our heavenly David sets us the example of
  125.      giving of ourselves, time, money etc.  The people to follow
  126.      the example of David and give. 29:6-9.  If the church today
  127.      is going to be like Jesus, this truth of giving must grip it.
  128.      There is no room in the church for misers.
