-----------
This program will probably work on your system but if it doesn't it's not
my fault nor responsibility. If it hurts you or your system I ain't gonna
give you anything for it. As with all software you're taking your chances.
With that out of the way...
This program will allow you to display an ANSI file without the need to
load ANSI.SYS or any other ANSI driver, for that matter.
Introduction
I rarely have ANSI.SYS loaded on my work computer since a) Most communications
programs have ANSI emulation built in and b) it takes up a little more RAM
that I just don't want to give up. The downside of this, however, is that
when I do need to view an ANSI file I have to modify my old config.sys and
re-boot thus enabling the TYPE command to work with ANSI files.
TypeANSI to the rescue!
By using TypeANSI I no longer need to load ANSI.SYS to view ANSI files.
Simply type:
typeansi filename.ext
where filename.ext is the filename of the ansi file you wish displayed...what
could be easier?
If you use and enjoy this program and you want to send $$ feel free to
do so however, it's not required. If you just want to drop me a letter
or postcard saying you're using it, that would be fine too!
