  9. Problem
  10. While spell checking your document, you have added a misspelled
  11. word to your dictionary.  Now you want to remove that word.
  12.

  14. Concept
  15. If you select option 3 to add a word to your dictionary while you
  16. are spell checking, that word is saved in a file called
  17. WPXXX}us.sup, otherwise known as the supplemental dictionary. 
  18. This dictionary is a WordPerfect document, which means you can
  19. retrieve, edit, and save it.

  22. Solution
  23. Locate the supplemental dictionary file and delete the misspelled
  24. word.
  25.  
  26. 1     Press Setup (Shift+F1), then choose Location of Files (6).
  27.  
  28. Your supplemental dictionary is listed under
  29. Thesaurus/Spell/Hyphenation (3).  Make a note of the directory it
  30. is located in.  If no directory is listed, then your dictionary
  31. is stored in your default WordPerfect directory.

  33. 2     Press Exit (F7) to exit the Setup menu.
  34.  
  35. 3     Press List (F5).  
  36.  
  37. The default WordPerfect 5.1 directory is usually C:\WP51, unless
  38. you specified another location during the installation.

  40. 4     If the C:\WP51 directory does not appear at the bottom of
  41.       the screen, switch to that directory.
  42.  
  43. 5     Press Enter.  Scroll down the list of files until you see
  44.       the WPXXX}us.sup file.
  45.  
  46. 6     Choose Retrieve (1).  Make the necessary corrections to the
  47.       misspelled word, or delete it from the dictionary.

  49. 7     Save the file under the same name when you are finished.
