Title: Tables: Deleting Formulas in Table Cell
Product: WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS
Number: 1123-10/93
Problem
You want to delete one or more formulas that you have placed in a
table cell.
Solution
Use of the following methods to delete the formula(s).
Method 1
Delete all of the information from the cell(s) containing the
unwanted formulas. In either case, the entire contents of the
cells you choose will be deleted, including the formulas.
To delete a formula from one cell only,
1 Place the cursor in the cell that contains the unwanted
formula.
2 Press Columns/Table (Alt+F7).
3 Press Backspace.
To delete formulas from several adjoining cells,
1 Place the cursor in the first cell that contains an unwanted
formula.
2 Press Columns/Table (Alt+F7).
3 Press Block and move to the end of the block of cells you
want to delete from.
4 Press Backspace, then type y to delete the block.
5 Press Exit to return to the Table Edit menu.
Method 2
Delete just a portion of a formula.
1 Place the cursor in the cell that contains the unwanted
formula.
2 Press Columns/Table (Alt+F7).
3 Choose Math (5), then Formula (2).
4 Press Delete to delete the formula, character by character.
If you choose to delete the entire formula, your cursor will
remain at the Enter formula prompt. You can enter a new formula,
or return to the Table Edit menu.
5 Press Exit (F7) to return to the Table Edit menu.
The formula will be deleted, but all text already in the cell
(such as totals) will be undisturbed.
