  1. Cover Maker General Help
  2. `How Cover Maker help works:
  3.  
  4. Pressing ~F1~  on any particular  screen will give  you help
  5. which is applicable  to that screen only.  This first help
  6. page is a general description  of the options available to
  7. you.
  8.  
  9. `The Cover Maker main menu consists of the following
  10. `options:
  11.  
  12. ~Clear:
  13. NEW - this will start a fresh tape cover
  14.   (it only has an effect when you have started something
  15.    and select this option - all your work will be cleared,
  16.    be careful not to select NEW when you are in the
  17.    middle of a tape cover that you wish to keep)

  21. ~Disk Options:
  22. LOAD - allows you to select a tape cover to load
  23.    (you can specify an alternative path like ~a:cover1~ too)
  24.  
  25. SAVE - saves a cover (with .TC extension)
  26.  
  27. ~Cover Editor:
  28. EDGE - allows you to enter the bitmap editor to design
  29.        the edge (adjacent to the rib) of the tape cover
  30. RIB - provides a few more options than the EDGE editor
  31. CONTENTS - a text editor which allows entry of song titles
  32.  
  33. ~Printer:
  34. PRINT - sends the tape cover image to LPT1. Works for an
  35.         IBM Graphics Printer and compatibles.

  37. ~Quit:
  38. EXIT - terminates program, exits to DOS.

  40. Miscellaneous
  41. `Keyboard Controls:
  42.  
  43. If you do not have a mouse, or prefer to use keyboard when
  44. editting, you can use these keys:
  45.  
  46. ~+~ and ~-~  Adjust step size, used in conjunction with:
  47. ~x~  adjust x step size only
  48. ~y~  adjust y step size only
  49. ~b~  adjust both x and y step sizes
  50. ~/~  select single pixel step length for x and y
  51. ~*'  select default step length for x and y
  52.  
  53. Use numeric keypad for cursor movement, left shift & right
  54. shift can be used like the left & right mouse buttons.
