WCBANKER
++++++++
version 1.10 December 25, 1993
Wildcat! SysOp's User Record Controller
a public domain Wildcat! SysOps' utility by Michael Conley.
(designed for use with Wildcat! 3.xx data files)
[ requires BRUN40.EXE in the path ]
What it does:
-------------
WCBANKER lets you select any group of security levels and then globally
adjust your callers' user records in either the Netmail Balance or the
Subscription Account Balance fields, or produce a report of current
balances in those fields. You may modify balances in any of four ways:
Zero the balance, Set the balance, Increase, or Decrease the existing
balance.
Running the program:
--------------------
WARNING: WCBANKER reads and WRITES to your Wildcat! user record file,
ALLUSERS.DAT. Please make a backup copy of ALLUSERS.* (usually found
in your \WC30\DATA directory) before using WCBANKER.
No configuration is required for WCBANKER. WCBANKER will find MAKEWILD
anywhere in your DOS path, and use the path specified in MAKEWILD to
locate your user file.
Start WCBANKER. It will read your Wildcat! data files and present you
with a list of your security levels. You may scroll through these with
the up-and-down arrows, PgUp, PgDn, Home and End keys. To activate a
security level, press the [space bar] ... a black diamond will appear
next to the chosen level. Press the space bar again to deactivate a
particular level, in case you select one in error.
When through with your Security selections, press the [ENTER] key and
WCBANKER will then ask you to select the action you want to take.
As before, you may scroll through these with the up-and-down arrows.
When the highlight is over a desired field, press the [space bar] ...
a black diamond will appear next to the chosen item. Only ONE operation
may be chosen in WCBANKER.
Available operations include:
Remove the balance from the subscription account
Set the balance from the subscription account
Increase the balance from the subscription account
Decrease the balance from the subscription account
Remove the balance from the netmail account
Set the balance from the netmail account
Increase the balance from the netmail account
Decrease the balance from the netmail account
Write a REPORT on the current balances.
Press [ENTER] when done, and you'll be asked to confirm your choices.
If you need to "bail out" before starting, simply answer NO to the
"OK to Proceed" question and the program will terminate with no changes.

PROBLEMS, SUGGESTIONS:
This program is public domain. I don't seek or accept any donations or
registration fees for any of my Wildcat! utility programs, including
TODAYBBS, FLOP, NETBULL, USTAT, and others ... however I invite you to
read the short textfile "CHARWARE.TXT" enclosed in this ZIPfile. It
suggests that you make a contribution to YOUR favorite charity if you
find this program useful.
I welcome suggestions, and will try to help (no guarantees) if there are
problems.
You may contact me at The Charlatan's Cabin BBS (213) 654-7337. Mention
your Wildcat! registration number in the comment and you'll be upgraded to
visiting sysop level without the usually required registration by mail.
My Internet address is: michael.conley@cabin.com
You may also leave a message via CompuServe EMail. My CompuServe account
number is 70250,220. I also regularly check the Mustang Software head-
quarters BBS, especially the "3rd Party Utilities Help" conference.
Please, NO VOICE CALLS. This isn't meant to be unfriendly, but with the
price of public domain software these days ... I just can't afford to be
"on call." I WILL respond to your questions via my BBS, Internet,
CompuServe, or via the Mustang Software registered SysOp BBS.
