  71. |                                                             |
  72. |    Solution:                                                |
  73. |    A possible circumvention is to check the CPI setting in  |
  74. |    Emulator Print Control,  Print Style. If it is set to 10 |
  75. |    change it to 17 CPI. The emulator uses an algorithm that |
  76. |    looks at the print line coming down in the job stream    |
  77. |    compares it with the space allocated for it to print in, |
  78. |    which is limited by print density (CPI) and page size    |
  79. |    (job properties). This plus the margins (which are fixed |
  80. |    on the HP) determine how many characters per line are    |
  81. |    printed.                                                 |

  83. | 5. 06/26/93                                                 |
  84. |    Host print job prints several lines on one page then     |
  85. |    skips to next page to continue printing what should have |
  86. |    been contents of the original page. If JOB ICON VIEW of  |
  87. |    of the printer is viewed it will indicate that the Host  |
  88. |    print job is a series of several smaller print jobs.     |
  89. |                                                             |
  90. |    Solution:                                                |
