* -SUBJECT OF INFO APAR- LAST UPDATE: 01/19/93 BSF *
* *
* Installing TCPIP V1.2.1 when you have a newer version of *
* LAPS (NTS/2) or are installing NTS/2. *
* *
***************************************************************
+-------------------------------------------------------------+

If you are running LS 3.0 or ES 2.0 and have installed
NTS/2, DO NOT install TCPIP's LAPS disk. NTS/2 is a
newer version of LAPS and could cause problems for LS and
and ES. If you do install LAPS or are installing LS 3.0
and/or ES 2.0 after installing TCPIP, you will need to
follow their instructions for installing NTS/2, then make
sure that the files in the TECHNICAL INFORMATON section
for TCPIP are still installed and that the PROTOCOL.INI
file has the proper information for TCPIP.

-TECHNICAL INFORMATION -
After installing NTS/2, you will need to unpack and
install files from TCPIP's LAPS disk:

Insert LAPS in your drive and from a OS/2 window or
fullscreen type the following commands from the drive
prompt replacing A: and C: for your specific drive letters

NOTE: Due to space limitations for this file, the commands
are to be entered as ONE (1) long string until you
press the <enter> key!!

PKUNZIP2 A:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\PROTOCOL.ZIP C:\IBMCOM\
PROTOCOL TCPIP.NIF <enter>

PKUNZIP2 A:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\PROTOCOL.ZIP C:\IBMCOM\
PROTOCOL INET.SYS <enter>

PKUNZIP2 A:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\PROTOCOL.ZIP C:\IBMCOM\
PROTOCOL IFNDIS.SYS <enter>

After installing these files to NTS/2's directory, you can
then use NTS/2's to configure TCPIP following the
TCPIP\DOC\READ.ME file or your NTS/2 documentation. Make
sure that the following lines are in your CONFIG.SYS after
configuring with NTS/2.

DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\INET.SYS
DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\IFNDIS.SYS
