  75. |    SOLUTION:
  76. |    Some of the device drivers were changed in WR05050.
  77. |    reference apars JR03828 and JR05778. The solution is
  78. |    to have the host program suppress the additional form
  79. |    feeds (x'0C') in the job stream. You can verify this
  80. |    by looking at a DLC trace of the print job. Look for a
  81. |    x'0C' in the print job where you are experiencing the
  82. |    extra pages, if the x'0C' is present, then the host
  83. |    program needs to be changed. A possible temporary
  84. |    circumvention is to restore to an earlier version of
  85. |    the device driver until the host program can be altered.
  86. |     ** Note - this may not work in all cases. **

  90. |    Host print job wraps at column 80 on HP Laserjet
  91. |    printer even though PM_Q_RAW is used.
  92. |
  93. |    SOLUTION:
  94. |    A possible circumvention is to check CPI setting
  95. |    in 3270 PRINT CONTROL. If it is set to 10, change
  96. |    it to 17 CPI. The emulator uses an algorithm that
  97. |    looks at the print line coming down in the job stream
  98. |    and compares it with the space allocated for it to
  99. |    print in - which is limited by print density (CPI)
  100. |    and page size (job properties). This plus the margins
  101. |    (which are fixed on the HP) determine how many
  102. |    characters per line are printed.

  112. |
  113. |    SOLUTION:
