The stability of this amplifier is now:
FREQ INPUT STABILITY CIRCLES
in GHz DIST ANGLE RADIUS I/O K
0.05 6.79 9.57 5.18 O 1.75
0.0505 7.46 78.57 0 O 5876.1
0.051 8.8 156.18 7.15 O 1.77
Any number of decisions may be made at this point. One
could conclude with these results and accept the marginal
bandedge performance, or one may choose to add additional com-
ponents to the matching circuitry in order to achieve better
broadband performance.
In cases in which there are more than six elements suit-
able for optimization, the procedure would be to choose those
six with the highest gradients for the first effort. Then,
choose the six highest for the next effort and so on. In any
case, it must be remembered that proper selection of the ele-
ments and the objectives play significant roles in the overall
speed at which the optimization function operates.
