Help file program
This program is designed to transmit a file from the BPQ node, for use as a help
file or similar. It is designed for use with the BPQ TheNode software and
Desqview.
There are two files supplied;
HELP.EXE The program.
HELP.NEW A list of updates.
HELP.DOC This file.
The program requires some command line parameters; the COM's port number, the
application number and the file name.
For example;
HELP 3 16 C:\BPQ\HELP.TXT
| | |
| | |
| | \
| | File name
| \
| Application number
\
COM 03:
The COM port number is the virtual BPQ COM port you allocate to this program.
The application number, is the number of the program allocated in the BPQCFG
file. Note this is in decimal, and the BPQ node allocates it in Binary, with
each bit. So 16 is $10 (hex) or 00010000 binary, the fifth application in the
APPL list.
The file name is for the help file, and should give the device and the path as
well, in case you change the current directory, or if it is in another.
To end the program use the 'Esc' key THIS WILL TAKE A FEW SECONDS (in DESQview
you may have to try twice). If you just close the DESQview window the BPQ node
will still think the program there and will still accept connections.
I hope that all that was not too garbled! If you have any problems, contact
myself:-
