  1.                        INSERTING A LINE INTO YOUR TEXT
  2.  
  3.     There are five different ways to insert a new line into your text
  4.     area.:
  5.                    (1) F2
  6.                    (2) AltI
  7.                    (3) CtrlI
  8.                    (4) Ctrl~
  9.                    (5) Enter Key (depending on toggle setting)

  11.                        F2 - add line below
  12.  
  13.     Function key F2 will insert a new line directly below the cursor and
  14.     move the cursor to the left margin of the new line.
  15.  
  16.     Move the cursor to the asterisk (*) and press F2.  Notice the cursor
  17.     position.  Now press F5 to delete the line you just added.

  19.                               Press the PgDn Key

  21.                             Alt I - add line below

  23.     Now move the cursor to the asterisk (*), hold down the Alt key and
  24.     press "I".  Notice that a new line was added below the cursor and the
  25.     cursor moves to the new line as with F2, but in this case, the cursor
  26.     stayed in the same column instead of going to the left margin.  Now
  27.     press F5 to delete the line you just added.

  30.                            Ctrl I - add line above

  32.     Move the cursor to the asterisk on the line below, hold down the Ctrl
  33.     key and press "I".  (*) Notice that the cursor stayed in the same
  34.     column and moved to the newly added line as with AltI, but in this
  35.     case, the new line was added above the cursor instead of below it.
  36.     Now press F5 to delete the line you just added.

  41.                            Ctrl ~ - add line above

  43.     Move the cursor to the asterisk at the left margin on the line below
  44.     *, hold down the Ctrl key and press the ~ key.  Notice that the new
  45.     line was added above the cursor.  THIS IS NOT actually an INSERT line
  46.     function but a split line function, and it will only behave in this
  47.     manner when there is no text to the left of the cursor.  Press F5 to
  48.     remove the new line just inserted.

  51.                    Inserting a new line with the ENTER key
  52.  
  53.     If your AltX toggle is set so that 'X' or 'x' appears on the command
  54.     line, then a new line will be inserted below the cursor when the Enter
  55.     key is pressed.  The cursor will move to the left margin if 'X' is on
  56.     the Command Line, and to the column under the leftmost character on
  57.     the preceding line if the 'x' is on the Command Line.
