  26. The  latest activities of "Sikor Soft" have  surpassed all expectations  of the 
  27. faithful  atarians  living in  the polish wastelands.  After a very  surprising 
  28. announcement  for new commercial  games forthcoming for the Atari XL/XE series, 
  29. Sikor  has decided to become a publisher of  a new atari paper  magazine called 
  30. "Atarynka"! Such a brave steps brings with it  huge risk especially if you bear
  31. in mind how small the current Atari market is and the small amount of potential
  32. customers for each issue. 
  33.  
  34. Could the word  "commerce" be  welcomed by anyone who has to dig out money from 
  35. their own pocket? Is it possible? Living in the  commercial world is very risky 
  36. finacially and also boring .... But "Sikor Soft" is an exceptional phenomenon - 
  37. they  showed us another  meaning of this  hateful word.  And  what's this other 
  38. meaning...? Not making a profit without giving something back. Sikor NEVER lets
  39. us feel  he's just  looking to earn  money on the Atari. His major target is to 
  40. support the  place  of his youth...  Sometimes  he is forced to cover his costs 
  41. "for the business".  He arranges everything concerned  with the  colour labels, 
  42. disks  and  packaging and  he was still  selling even if each game didn't cover 
  43. these costs...... "A loser?", "A die-hard Atarian?".... People with different a 
  44. mentality probably will choose one of these answers.

  46. "Sikor Soft"'s  activity is  beyond the  understanding  of many  people. Such a 
  47. hateful word like  "commerce"  can change (!) its  meaninng, even more - it can
  48. become  welcome!  Even  if  you think  it all sounds  like  a fairy  tale  it's 
  49. *REALITY*.  I have known Sikor long enough to have this opinion and I am pretty 
  50. sure that the Polish atari community agrees with me. 
  51.  
  52. If  he one  day  dissapears  from the atari  scene,  he will  surely go down in 
  53. history as one of the good guys!
