  1. Windows 95/98 Dial-Up Networking (DUN) Configuration

  10.  1) Double-click on the [My Computer] icon on your
  11.     desktop.      
  12.  2) Double-click the [Dial-Up Networking] icon.
  13.  
  14.  *NOTE: If there is no [Dial-up Networking] folder
  15.   in [My Computer], you will need to install
  16.   Dial-up Networking.
  17.  
  18.  3) Double-click [Make New Connection], or click
  19.     [next] if prompted.
  20.  4) Enter "XMission" for the [Name of the computer you
  21.     are dialing].
  22.  5) Be sure your modem is selected in the [Select a
  23.     Modem] field. If not, select it now.
  24.  6) Click [Next].
  25.  7) Enter the local XMission phone number here. (e.g.,
  26.     990-0900 for Salt Lake)
  27.  8) Click [Next].
  28.  9) Click [Finish].
  29.  
  30.  *NOTE: Depending on your current system configuration,
  31.   you may be promted to install the [Dial-Up Network
  32.   Adapter]. If so, click [OK] to install. (You may be
  33.   prompted to insert your Win95/98 disk(s).)
  34.  
  35. 10) Click once on the [XMission] icon now showing in
  36.     your [Dial-Up Networking] folder.
  37. 11) Select the [File] menu, then select [Properties]
  38. 12) Click on the [Server Types] tab.
  39. 13) Under both [Advanced Options] and [Allowed Network
  40.     Protocols] UNCHECK everything but [TCP/IP].
  41. 14) Click [TCP/IP Settings].
  42. 15) Select [Specify name server addresses].
  43. 16) In the spaces now available next to [Primary DNS],
  44.     enter "198.60.22.2".
  45. 17) In the spaces available next to [Secondary DNS],
  46.     enter "198.60.22.22".
  47. 18) Click [OK] until you're back to the [Dial-up
  48.     Networking] folder.
  49. 19) To dial, double-click the [XMission] icon, enter
  50.     your XMission account name in the space labeled
  51.     [User Name], enter your password in the space
  52.     labeled [Password], then click [Dial].
