NEVER seen a FGTH video other than the concert version of "Relax" that

someone out there that would be willing to make me a tape with some FGTH
music videos. I've asked this before, but the thing is I got responses
from people in other countries and the video format is much different

all those who did respond to my last request... Thank you! I'd also love
to see the original "Relax" video. I hope this isn't too much to ask.
I've got something to trade ya if you'd be willing to make a video

12th April (Easter-sunday) 1998,Location: Koenigsburg "Gay-Happening",
Krefeld (Duesseldorf/Cologne), Germany:
Holly Johnson got back on stage for the second time in this year in
the 39th "Gay-Happening" at the "Koenigsburg", a maze of a nightclub
-the dream of all nightclubarchitecs- with 4 levels, 3 dancefloors
connected with bridges and a kind of swimming-pool in th centre.
He performed a show full of scandal, decadence and marvelous surprizes
infront of 4000 spectators.
The songs:
Intro ("Farewell" from Blade Runner)
Love Train
Americanos
Relax
Two Tribes
The Power of Love
Legendary Clidren (all of them Queer)
Relax
Holly was wearing the glamorous costume of the "Atomic City" Video.
The show was acompanied by a lot of expensive special-effects:
Holly got carried on stage sitting on a throne.
There were 3 crosses on stage with 3 actors bodypainted as Jesus &
Co, playing the Reserection during "Two Tribes".
During the "Power of Love" 3 Firespitting-Angels inflamed a 2 meter
high Heart (`with tungues of fire...)
Holly giuded a "scary" Tiger (actor full of bodypaint) on a Line
during "Relax" and gave the line to the audience.
Every song was acompanied by special-effects of this kind.
Holly is in excellent singing- and dancing-shape, which he also
proved after the show downstairs on the danceflour of the "Catacombs".
It was one of the most exciting shows, I ve ever seen of Mr. Johnson.
We re looking forward to the next surprize of "holy" Holly!

This has an isbn ("international standard book number"), so this leads me
to believe that this is a book-on-cassette of a book by the ORIGINAL

Aon left ZTT after just 1 album - Who is Afraid of the art of noise (I'm
not including into battle! and at the same time, Trevor Horn and Pul
Morley left the group... China Records handled all the rest, from the
"Legs" single onwards, but ZTT later brought out the retrospective
'daft' CD after the bend left the label. A year or three ago, JJ and
Anne (the last remaning members, Gary Langham having gradually faded
out) decided to split the band up (JJ going on to make Art of Silence
rcords on his won Axxiomatic label). More recently Trevor Horn and Anne
Dudley (and possibly others) re-activated the ZTT band (referring to it
as The Art of Noise as the image of a band at the end of the 20th
century (possibly for legal resaons???)). Now who can explain the line
up of Yes? (only kidding!)

Yes. It's actually "Something _Always_ Happens" b/w "Camilla - The Old
Old Story", a UK promo 12" for the 'Drum And Bass Collection'

It's a one-sided 12" acetate from 'Tape-One Studios', which has written
"Andrew Poppy // Inside The Wolf (The Tube Theme) 3:30" on it.
It does in fact play 3:30 (or 3.33) at 45rpm, but I find it more
interesting playing at 33rpm...
-Joerg
P.S.: BTW, I think they credited Jeff Beck & Trevor Horn for _one_
other theme of theirs (before Andrew's).

Hi Emmanuel,
The tracklisting is as follows:
p:machinery 9.20 (....the polish mix)
p:machinery 3.45
frozen faces 5.32
i.e. the same as most other 12+ACI- issues of p:machinery
The sleeve is the standard gold/ball/bobcat sleeve with
'MAQUINARIA' in red (on black) where 'p:machinery' should be
There is also a red/yellow/black 'EUROMIX' flash to the
right of the sleeve.
So...no new tracks - but a collectable sleeve.

Hi,
I picked up a few ZTT (and ZTT loosely related) items, let me know if
you're interested in any of them. The 808 State cds are pretty good!

2
remixes of Cubik, 2 remixes of Olympic, 3 remixes of Pacific including
Pacific
State Origin, and Cobra Bora (Shortcut)
808 State-Forecast 11 track Japanese remix album from Gorgeous, includes
remixes of One In Ten, Olympic, Plan 9, b-sides, etc.
Thomas Leer-Contradictions (of Act--they were on ZTT!)--compilation of his
early works from 1978-1983. 16 track compilation which features Leer's solo
discography and his Act discography.
Seal-I'm Alive ZTT cd single, featuring BT and Sasha's mix. If you like
dance music, Trust me, it's awesome.--$12
Art of Noise-Shades of Paranoimia UK 12" promo, S1000 remixes--$8
Hope to hear from ZTT soon--I need more Propaganda/AON!!!!!
Take care,

Hi Dave,
Honky were signed to ZTT after a fierce bidding war, something WEA were
pretty pleased about. They were managed by Ignition who also managed
Oasis, what a surprise Honky had to take a back seat! Three singles and
one LP appeared on ZTT before an acrimonious break-up that saw Honky
signing to a new label, denouncing their flirtation with commercialism
and promising to get back to their roots...
Their two highlights: a live performance of The Whistler on The Word
(astounding and 100 times punchier than the subsequent single version)
and the sleeve for the album (featuring charicatures of various friends
and ZTT personnel).

Hi there!
Here's some more info on the release I mentioned earlier.
Discog-Style:
"Lissat & Brain: Dream"
12": 1998 GE (Virgin: 7243 8 95014 6)
A: 7.39 Dream (Extended Cut)
7.37 Dream (Remix Cut)
B: 7.36 Dream (Instrumental Cut)
I haven't got the record yet, but it's supposed to have the original
vocals (mainly Suzanne I think). Also one mix is having nearly the
same beat as the T-Empo mix of p:Machinery...
BTW, you never know, but I think D.A. Meier is supposed to be Dietmar
Andreas Meier (or even Maier or Meyer, don't remember exactly).
Cheers
Joerg

Any idea how UK list members can get these? I have tried the big stores

It was up for about a year. It started as a very nice looking "coming
soon" site that was developed by former employees of www.obsolete.com,
but then moved elsewhere and was taken over by someone who was not
very good at design and who gave it an extremely amateur feel.
There were a few not-very-interesting sound samples and a tidbit or
two of information about JJ, but it was apparently so underwhelming
that they decided to play it up as "the world's worst website,"
making special note of the very annoying color schemes and jagged
images. It wasn't kept up and eventually the domain disappeared
altogether.
If you go to http://www.swcp.com/~lazlo/ and look at the ZTT
discography (under Lazlo's Discography Machine), you'll probably
see the Art of Silence single that you purchased. There are 3
singles listed (West 4, Giant Above, Teach Me), and an album that
isn't listed for some reason. It's all a far cry from Art of Noise;
JJ's experimenting with the genre known as progressive house,
finding favor in the club scene. All of his releases are UK-only.
A mix of Teach Me can be found in the USA on the Sasha & Digweed DJ
mix CD "Northern Exposure 2 - West Coast Edition." The West Coast has
terrible taste in music, but in the case of this CD it's just a way
of marketing what was a 2-CD set in the UK as separate CDs -- the
music wasn't really picked to appeal to certain regions of the country.
However, I'm not sure it's a coincidence that I, a midwesterner,
found the East Coast edition more worthwhile than the other. :)
(For the geographically challenged: the Midwest is mostly in the
eastern half of the US, starting in Ohio and going due west to
Kansas, and most everything northward.)

Thought you'd be interested to know that i've put a heavily-cropped version
of a scan I did from an original print of mine (by Anton Corbijn) up at the
following location:
under the heading 'Music' and 'Propaganda'.
Something for all the Propaganda image collectors out there.
Be aware this is HEAVILY COPYRIGHTED so don't go displaying it in a
public place without the corresponding text (as can be seen underneath my
scan on the web page).
Cheers.
John.

Hey! I too went around the specialist dance music shops but found
nothing. However, I called ZTT and they say that there is a promo around.
BUT it is not the AON. Rather more Sacha and Way Out West. I think she
said that it was a remix (so these days, that probably means contains one
sample of the new work). However, she did stress that there was no new
AON product floating around.
