  24. It saddens me a great deal to report that Roger Troutman and Zapp Troutman 
  25. of the group Zapp have both died. I heard this news on Monday morning, about 
  26. two weeks after I saw them live at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, 
  27. CA (about ten minutes form my house).
  28.  
  29. It has been said that this was a murder-suicide; apparently Zapp shot Roger 
  30. to death and then killed himself. This news is practically unknown since 
  31. everyone has been talking about the Colorado shootings and the Kosovo war on 
  32. the news; MTV hasn't mentioned anything about the deaths either. Power 106 
  33. FM (KPWR) and KACE FM of Los Angeles did report the news though.

  35. For those of you who aren't familiar with the group, they have been one of 
  36. the BIGGEST influences on rap and R&B music, right behind Kraftwerk,Art of 
  37. Noise,and James Brown. They have been sampled and imitated to DEATH!!!! 
  38. Listen to most of the new R&B bullshit on the air and you'll probably agree! 
  39. The group's signature sound is largely a testament to technology; Roger's 
  40. vocals were sung through a talk-box which created sort of a "robot funk" 
  41. sound.

  43. Their hits include "More Bounce To The Ounce" , "Blow My Thing" ,
  44. "Computer Love (not to be confused with the Kraftwerk version)",
  45. "I Can Make You Dance", "Dance Floor", "Slow & Easy" , and "California Love 
  46. (which was done with 2Pac)".

  48. I am SO glad that I got to see them before this happened; it was quite a 
  49. spectacle. They are truly the masters of old school (as probably many g's 
  50. will attest to), and they will be sorely missed !!!!!!!!!!!!

  98. 1) does anyone have or know the availability of the video of the ZTT concert 
  99. at Ambassadors Theatre ? I had to leave early to get the coach back to Brum 
  100. you know.
