It's okay, but has a few too many Year Ten remixes on it for my tastes.

Hi ZTTites,
What happened to this list? It's been quiet for awhile...well, to break the
silence I thought I'd mention that the new 808 State greatest hits album is
now out and it doesn't look very exciting....but that's just my opinion.
Where's SEAL????!!!!
Anything happen after the Trevor Horn/Seal big fight?
What happened to Propaganda's new project? Is it still going to happen?
Sorry for the questions, just curious...I do have a few related ZTT itesm
for sale if anyone's interested, email me for more info:
Criminal Element Orchestra: Everybody remixes (Deconstruction UK 12") with
808 State remixes, this is an early version of Black Box: Everybody,
Everybody ($8)
Haruomi Hosono-Medicine Mix (Graham Massey remixes) US promo 12" with 2
unreleased Graham Massey remixes (originally from the remix album).--$10
Propaganda: Heaven Give me Words UK 12" (with excellent WIlliam orbit
remix)--$10
also...
Propaganda: Dr. Mabuse (Das Testaments De Mabuse) UK 12" ZTAS2. This is
confusing, I have another one with a white cover but it hs the same
tracks...this one has a black sleeve and all four of them on the front
cover, different liner notes and everything...does anyone know why they
released two covers with the same tracks and mixes? I might sell the black
one if anyone is interested....thanks for reading!
Jon

Folks,
There's a new album out by Pablo's Eye out now on Swim~ records (All She
Wants Wants Grow Blue). Their press material has several references to
work with Z.T.T.. But I'd never heard of Pablo's Eye... Have you? A
little bit of sleuthing turned up this from Axel from the band...
>In 1989 Paul Morley at ZTT decided to start a project with 5 new
>bands/individuals. His idea was to introduce new music via alternative
>ways of trading (subscriptions, fashion & design shops, etc). We worked
>for 8 months on our album. At that time Claudia Brcken decided to stop
>her collaboration with Trevor Horn for the new album she was preparing
>and Paul Morley out of solidarity decided to leave the company.
>Consequently his project was cancelled apart from "808 State" who had
>already finished their recordings. We were sacked nevertheless this was
>one of the greatest human and musical experiences for all of us in
>Pablo's Eye.
Sounds very similar to tales from John Waddell of Nasty Rox Inc. of sub-
labels, own studios and freaky collaborations (which would have been
happening around the same time - 1988/89) that he mentioned in an
interview in Issue 3 of Outside World...
TTFN,
Ian Peel
