Status: OR
I was just wondering, has anybody heard "The Carl Stalling Project" which
Zorn wrote the liner notes for.
Zorn has often listet Stalling as one of his big inspirations, but is the
cd worth buying???
[jonas-- YES!!! this CD kicks butt! I was lucky enough to find
it used for $4 in my hometown... -Matt]

Subject: John Zorn: The Dead Man
Hello!
I read on the Kronos Quartet homepage that when Kronos played live they
sometimes played a song by John Zorn called The Dead Man and that it has
never been recorded. So I just wondered if any if you had the chance to
hear it and what it sounded like??
Please e-mail

Zorn didn't really produce this one either- he plays on the title track
and he helped out a bit in the studio. I highly recommend this album.
It's best described as insane industrial/noise/grind, but with a
completely original sound. Some here might recognize the name of OLD's
guitarist, James Plotkin, due to his solo ambient/noise work and his
collaborations with KK Null and Mick Harris. Also check out OLD's 3rd
album, "The Musical Dimensions of Sleastak", for a dose of true sonic genius.

Subject: Tenko
Sorry if this doesn't belong on this list buut I don't know where else to
ask. Anyway I saw Tenko at the Victoriaville festival a while ago and was
absolutey blown away...one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've been
looking for a while for some of her cd's but havn't been able to find
anything at all so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find
something or is there anything by her you'd recommend?
Thanks
Andrew

I have a cd ....Frith/Lussier recorded live at The Victoriaville festival sans
4 studio tracks. Tenko does some spot vocals on it. I'm not home at the moment
and the record title is in French... If you're interested send me an e-mail
and I'll get the specifics..

i received "Dalet" today- after 3-4 weeks by sending xeroxes and 5 IRC's to
DIW. I had thrown out the little stubs, but as it turns out they don't care.
give it a shot if you haven't already.
