  65. Hello- 
  66. I will be in NYC from June 9th-18th.
  67. As the new Village Voice doesn't hit Seattle
  68. until Friday the 9th, I thought I'd write and see if
  69. any of you New Yorkers out there could recommend some "jazz"
  70. to see during this period.  I'm aware of Carbon on the 10th, 
  71. as well as Diamanda Galas @the K.F. from the 14th-18th.
  72. I already have my ticket to Zorn/Lurie on the 15th@town hall.
  73. I also know about Frisell/Lovano/Motian at the V.Vanguard.
  74.              Anything else?
  75. I would also love to hear about a killer record store or two.

  90. Well, I wouldn't exactly call myself a "New York hipster", but. . . .

  92. I think Don Byron I one of the best clarinet players alive.  If the song
  93. Tears (the one on _Tuskegee Experiments_) doesn't do it for you, then surely
  94. his klezmer playing on the _Mickey Katz_ album would put some fire under
  95. your butt.  While I've only heard a couple things of Myra Melford, what
  96. I heard was great -- she's a "smokin'" pianist.

  98. If you can't make them all, I'd say at least go for something you haven't 
  99. seen before.

  166. Hello.  I was wondering if any of you out there had any copies of the old
  167. show Night Tracks.  It was hosted by David Sanborn and produced by Hal
  168. Willner.  Zorn, Sun Ra, Sonic Youth, The Pixies and the Lounge Lizards are
  169. just a few of the acts I remember seeing.  If anybody has copies I would be
  170. interested in purchasing and/or trading some things for copies.  I have been
  171. looking for a long time and have yet to have any luck.  Thanks.  Oh yeah, I
  172. also wanted to mention the utter genius of Fred Frith, with and without Henry
  173. Cow.  "Massacre", with Laswell and Fred Maher, which I just picked up the
  174. other day has amazed me.  It is very unlike anything else I have heard from
  175. him.
