  18. Subject: mr. bungle , Zorn's american label + the boredoms

  20. glad to see there's some mr. bungle discussion here.  still, there's  
  21. enough mr. bungle fans out there to justify a mailing list devoted  
  22. just to that band... let's try to balance bungle talk with  
  23. discussions of other zorn projects.

  27. 1) Mr. Bungle ... so, Mike Patton's out, eh?  that's very  
  28. dissapointing.  any word on the new album: release date, etc.?  will  
  29. zorn be producing again?  any info on the new singer and his band  
  30. would be appreciated.

  33. Also, there seem to be quite a few Bungle studio demos out there, but  
  34. they're so hard to get a hold of.  i have what i believe is the first  
  35. one, entitled "the raging wrath of the easter bunny."  it's  
  36. interesting; recorded in high school when they were pretty much a  
  37. straight speed metal band.  i think it would be worthwhile for people  
  38. who have most or all of the demos to post a list of them with some  
  39. description of the contents, so less fortunate souls (like me) can  
  40. trade for copies and we can spread the good news of bungle.  anyone  
  41. who'd like to trade for a dub of my demo, just get in touch...

  43. 2) American label - I heard a rumor that zorn will is setting up an  
  44. american label, re-releasing some of his old recordings and putting  
  45. out some old stuff as well.  will stuff on avant be re-released on  
  46. this label?  what's it called?  when can we expect the first batch of  
  47. releases?

  50. 3) the Boredoms - has anyone heard the boredoms' new album?  i think  
  51. it's called "chocolate synthesizer," and should be out in the u.s.  
  52. mid-january, athough it's been avaliable in japan for some time.  did  
  53. zorn produce?  i think their album "pop tatari" is masterful.

  62. I'm a trumpet player, who is particularly interested in John's new project-
  63. Masada.  The line-up is incredible, and I've been a big fan of all the
  64. members for a long time.  When I saw them perform, I asked him if he
  65. planned to record the new project, and his answer was pretty ambiguous.
  66. Does anybody have any recordings of Masada, or gotten to see any of their
  67. shows of late?   I think this is one of his best projects to date.
