It's true for many 'prog/fusion' bands: look what happened to people
form the late '70s guitar based Miles Davis Band: with the exception
of Al Foster, who is a great drummer maybe, but does not compose any
great music AFAIK, the rest of the band had disappeared (ok, not true:
dave liebman plays great stuff). Many fabulous musicians - such as
Michael Henderson, one of the greatest ebassist IMO, is musically
dead. Same goes for the the incredible guitarists: Cosey, Lucas, and
Gaumont.
