Yes, it is. The U.S. distributor for "For 4 Ears" is North Country
(basically the distrubutor of all European free improv).

I received a notice from the Electronic Music Foundation today which
advertises the following new release on Bridge which may be of interest.
No Brouwer listed here, but some excellent composers none the less. More
info probably available at their web site at http://www.CDeMUSIC.org.
David Starobin, described by Soundboard Magazine as "arguably the most
influential American classical guitarist of the 20th century," plays 18
dances for solo guitar, all of them composed for him by Elliott Carter,
Milton Babbitt, Poul Ruders, Jonathan Harvey, Paul Lansky, and others. We'd
go further than Soundboard: Starobin is THE best guitarist for contemporary
music.

Someone just mentioned buying Deadly Weapons, was that the used copy or is
it still available? I'd like to hear this one, if someone wants to make a
copy I could trade something for it.
Also, I just got Cynical Hysterie Hour, and I was a little disappointed -
I thought the overall impression was that people liked this one but it
reminds me of Cobra, interesting but missing something w/o the visuals.
Also, I have Frank Zappa's _Civilization Phaze 3_ for sale/trade if
anyone's interested. It's Synclavier and dialogue - I'm sure its good but
I just can't get into the Synclavier...

Subject: Great New Recording
Hope this doesn't come off like a plug (since these guys are all from my
hometown), but I think many people on the list would really enjoy a new
recording by a group based in Toronto and led by drummer Jean Martin.
The band has the same lineup as Tiny Bell Trio, with Kevin Turcotte on
trumpet and Justin Haynes on guitar, and they have the same wide-open
approach to music.
Unlike TBT, the Martin Trio focuses on some great tunes from Oklahoma
and a little-known Dr. Seuss film called The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T.
They also do some Weill/Brecht pieces.
I saw them twice this week on a tour that will take them to 45 dates
across Canada, including a number that are close to anyone in the
Seattle/Vancouver area, and just finished reviewing their new disk.
From my perspective (and I say this as someone who really loves Dave
Douglas' work) Kevin Turcotte is one of the best players around. It's
too bad that he's not better known outside Canada.
The CD is called Get Together Weather, released on Unity/Page. Not sure
who distributes it outside Canada, but I imagine you can get it through
the usual online channels if you're interested.
