Subject: (yello) Russian Release of Yello ....? (hello from Russia)
Date: 29 May 2000 10:22:49 +0500
Hello guys,
I'm new to this list, so few words about myself for a start. My name is
Cyril Povyshev, I'm 29 years old guy living in the middle of Russia. I'm
posting to inform you about Russian release of Yello that I have
ocassionally crossed this weekend.
the album is titled "Eccentrix Remixes", catalogue number is 538584-2
and the album was released on Polygram Russia Branch. As it is said on
the cover - this is an exclusive release for Russia and CIS only. (CIS
means to be the ex-Soviet Union Republics territory).
the tracklist includes:
the race (brake light mix)
how how (papa who ma mix)
more (rockabilly mix)
do it (marky p + teri b dub)
topaz (insect mix)
how how (in silence mix)
on track (doug laurent's first journey)
vicious games (b. blank + o. wolschlaeger mix)
rubberbandman (rubber mix)
she's got a gun (live at Palladium, NY)
to the sea (tswl mix)
just wondering: has anyone seen the same release world-wide ...? or can
this album be considered as the very rare Yello album available only in
Russia .....? well, if so, I would be happy to help someone if anyone's
interested (while I saw the copies in stock) ...? hope to hear your
commentaries, guys. Thank you.
my best wishes from Russia,
Cyril.

Yes, the cover is correct, but this Remix cd was also released in the rest of
Europe as well.
Your release, with the hologram bear on the cover is exclusive to Russia only
though.
The album was released in Jan/99

Yes, if it werent for the internet.
But the internet makes the rarest of rarities much easier to find:)
Hope this helps.

Sheldon
