Thank you

I found several copies of the Platypus single at
Tower Records last weekend. Heck, yeah, I grabbed
myself a copy.

Well, I've been here all the time....just lurking.....like others
I guess.....but there's not been much worth chatting about lately.
Just the usual boring....."just seen the remix, of the remix, of the
10 inch, from the film, of the book, etc, etc.
I suppose this is what a list is like when the band don't tour.
Nothing! Zilch! Zip! Just waiting for the next album, to get in to
a frenzy about. But then I can't even find a copy of Eccentrix!
So I wasn't able to join in the discussion about that one!
(Even though that was a remix album. But then I don't have ANY remix
material from Yello, so I thought "what the heck, I'll buy THIS one".)
It was also obvious from the start that neither Boris nor Deiter ever
bothered to contribute to this list - who knows if they've ever seen it!
Whereas on the "Little Feat" digest there is constant posting, and a buzz,
simply because they are touring, and the band are gracious enough to drop
in from time to time to add their feedback. Oh well, gripe over.
>>Was just at my local Virgin store, and they have YELLO on their
list of upcomming releases for the end of july. Hope its true.<<
My obvious question is "Which Virgin store? Which country? And what album?

like to know the men behind the music.

Basement Jaxx: Remedy

The Portishead CD in question is actually called "PNYC" or "PNYC - Live in
New York". It was released (in Norway) 6th of Nov 1998 on label Polydor.
Distributed by Polygram. (Didn't find the number, as I do not own the CD
myself)
Portishead is quite interesting music - definitely original. "Dummy" is a
classic, "Portishead" wasn't that good, and "PNYC", which are live versions
of the best from both records is (of course) really good :) It also comes
as a video, btw.

None of these are electro/techno/what have you. Frankly I've grown weary of
samplers and hybrid artists. You can listen to the local show that features
this genre via internet called "Metroplolis" @ http://www.kcrw.org

Best Music right about now:
Unun: Otta cd
Moby: Play lp
Brandi Ifgray: Stargazer lp
Money Mark: Push the Button cd
Yello: The New Mix In One Go 1980-85 cd
And could some friendly soul please give me some info about the band
You Know Who? They have that excellent song 'Andy' with Dieter's vocals in
the background.

Yeah. Haven't they had something like six live performances altogether?
How many of you have seen Yello live? I remember seeing them in TV
accepting some prize for 'The Race' back in the 80's. Mind you, I was
around 11 or 12 at that time and I already then thought that those two
guys are pretty darn cool.
