  22. Hello everybody; please enjoy the following important form letter --

  24. Xmission has added Mailman to the list of listadmin software they support
  25. and I have decided to move the list over.  Mailman is more friendly to
  26. the casual user thanks to its web-based user interface.  The new admin UI
  27. will make my admin job easier which should improve the level of service
  28. you get as subscribers as well as let me spend more time participating
  29. again.  You'll also have access to a friendlier archive system and some
  30. new subscription options: digest mode is now an "on/off" toggle rather
  31. than a separate subscription list, and you can disable your email
  32. temporarily without needing to completely unsubscribe.  Everything else
  33. should work just the same.

  35. In order to receive the new version of the list, please go to
  36. http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello and follow
  37. the subscription instructions there -- you'll need to confirm your
  38. subscription request via email and there will be a new posting address at
  39. mailman.xmission.com.  I will disable the old version of the list later
  40. this month.

  70. After the old lists are shut down (sometime in the next 24-48 hours, I=
  71.  believe) posts sent to the old list addresses will *not* be forwarded to=
  72.  the new lists, so please update your address listings.  The old addresses=
  73.  get loads of junk email messages every day, and the new lists will be much=
  74.  easier to maintain if we make a clean start with new addresses.
