Hi,

It does, doesn't it?  I knew it reminded me of something.  Maybe it's the
tinniness of the audio, or something ... but it does sound as if it is a
lost coffee table epic (?) of the early eighties.  I hope not.

Anyway for those wishing to hear something more off the new album, there are
THREE snatches including Squeeze Please, and an accompanying video clip (but
you'll have to get them to send it to you) at the MTV site:

I thought that I would emphasise the THREE ... for no apparent reason.

Well, I haven't heard but a brief snippet, but if that's the case, I
wouldn't be surprised, I'd be elated!  Yello has been known for the Latin
rhythm <divine>, so even though M.B. is British, it fits the theme...

I was able to extract it from Netscape's Cache and so I just uploaded it
to my website. You can find the 1,4 MB Video at the followong location:

If you're using QuickTime 4.0 (which you have to, don't you?), you can make
sure your settings for streaming - can be set from Control Panel, are set
for "Save streamed videos" or something... Then you'll get the *.mov files
in  "Temporary Internet Files" (IE4) or "cache" (Netscape). I set the
Connection Speed to the max, and then got a better quality 9.5 MB QT-video.

The music/video is ok, but doubt it will ever become a "hit" on MTV. But
then again, we wouldn't want that...? I think it's great Yello are going
back to the sound of "Flag" or "Baby", but hope they won't be repeating
themselves.

That frame is loaded from the Mercury Records web site.
The original URL of the movie is

will give you everything you need.

Quicktime directory has items:

Some people apparently saw only that short version.

If interested, you may download a sample and some text.ram from

but earlier there were more -- I have all sounds if anyone interested.
Soundstation sounds are also there somewhere (search for list archives
for URLs) but if you take sounds from the browser cache, you will
miss about 10 unused sounds!

My question is: how to convert .ram to some usable audiofile format?
I'm not interested in to run some .ram plug-in or executable.

I don't know where the setting is in the Windows version, but in the Mac
version the 'save streaming files' setting is not in the control panel,
but accessed by control-clicking over the movie. Not exactly obvious, but
as I've now been able to work out where to find that, I've been able to
find it in Netscape's cache. (Yippee!!!)

I sure hope that the video gets shown enough. Especially on MTV Nordic,
since that's the one I'll be following.

Well, Chemical Brothers' videos have been shown during daytime here, so
