Now that we've all (well, most of us) have had a chance to really settle in
with PU, how would we rank it among other Yello albums?

Currently, in belgian cinema's there's a promo clip playing for the chocola=
te snack Lion.
It combines an american big city atmosphere with the brown-toned safar= i
clich=E9s, always related to this particular product. It is a rather
uninspi= red film actually.
But the soundtrack seems really like an outtake of yello's Pocket Unive=
rse
I wonder: did they really sample an outtake, or did the just plagia= rize
Yello?

Hi people. I'd like to ask you what is the meaning of life? Only the family
and making career or something else? What are we living for? And is the
music able to have influence on the life? This list is not serious, a lot
of things we do in our lives are not serious so WHAT is serious?
Olga, sad and bored
P.S. Is there somebody for whom Yello is NOT one of the favorities in
music?! I think there's nobody. "Wake up on Sunday morning Everything feels
so boring Is that where it ends? Live your life thru the lens"

Subject: (yello) Yello Test
Dear Olga
Happy to reply..... here are the results from this UK jury!!
1. What is Yello in your life?
c) one of my favorities in music
in fact the best 'driving' music in the universe!
2. When did you became a fan?
a) in the period of 1985-91
I guess like most of us it was 'The Race' which blew me away!
3. Do you like Pocket Universe?
a) yes, it's a very good album
It took time for it to grow on me, but it gets better each time I hear it.
4. Do the members of your family like Yello?
a) yes, they like it
Mainly my daughter! She thinks I'm a real cool dude!
5. Do you like to read the information and articles about Yello?
a) yes, I think it helps to understand their music better
6. Do you like to watch their videos?
c) I've never seen it
I'm still hunting around for them. I guess from what I see posted
that 'Essential Yellow' is the one to get. Is that right?
7. What do you like more about Yello?
e) I like everything about Yello
I especially like the 'guest' appearances, such as Shirley Bassey.
Who would have guessed Shirley could get that groovy!
Looking forward to getting my results of the test!!
Best wishes, Mike

Subject: (yello) How How Samples
Hoi!
Found a song which contains the How How Sample "Man, Woman, Love".
It's a pumping techno track by 'Digital Express' surprisingly called 'Man,
Woman, Love'. Not really a good track (13 in a dozen (or what's that expression
in English)), but you can check that out yourself in some time.
As soon as possible I'll try to upload it to the FTP-site.
Groeven,
Olaf.

Subject: (yello) New to list
Hi all,
My name is Andrew Segula
I live in Sydney, Australia
I am new to the music of Yello. To date I have all their albums except
Solid Pleasure and Claro Que Si. If they are anything like the rest they
are bound to be great.
Does anyone know how many people are on this list and what countries
members come from? Are there many other Yello fans in Australia?
Are the films/videos etc. referenced to in earlier e-mails available in
Australia?
