Here is MHO:
I, too, was going to be silent. Having just signed on to the list this
week, I didn't feel like it was my place to criticize or even disagree yet
with what I reckoned to be a long time member.
But...to Tina, I say (clap,clap,clap,clap,clap!)(standing ovation!) Well
said! I have read the other jokes that have appeared this week (Randy the
rooster had me ROTFLMBO) but this one seemed so far from the general feeling
I had from and about the group (very warm and caring, a wonderful group of
gals and guys) that it was very suprising. Putting the "offensive" warning
and the buffer is okey for jokes like "Randy" but racist jokes have no place
anywhere, buffer or not.
Okey, now I'll go back to lurking and asking dumb newbie questions!

the flamingoes. (gg)
Pink is fine for me...LOL Hot bright pink...anything would work...want to do
PINK ribbons too for RS list members...everyone has a PINK ribbon at least
around their home!
What's everyone else think?
Well that's my 2cents worth...LOL Anyone? Name tags with a PINK ribbon to
show you are a RS list member?
Would it be feasible to
get together for lunch on Saturday? That would give us time to check things
out - then meet and compare notes before going back to stock up. >>
This sounds good...but since I will be working for part of the convention I
may not make it. But I'll try. There are restaurants right there in the
hotel. BUT they are VERY slow...my advice is to meet in the lobby at some
time and go across the street to some faster food place...there's a couple of
sit down places like TGIF and such. So someone set up a time...and everyone
can work from there.
Don't forget the Stamper's Social on Saturday night.
Yes it's $20 this year but you get a goodie bag of stuff....free make-it and
take it's - and cake and punch. Believe me this cake and punch costs her an
arm and a leg!!!!! (from the hotel of course - and wouldn't let her bring in
her own or have it catered :( ) but the great part is meeting everyone and
picture taking!!!
Happy planning and pin making everyone...
Rubberhugs

And I loved the Bowery Boys, and Shirley Temple, and Tarzan,

the ones where he was the son of a judge? Judge Hardy?....

Oh dear heavens..... I think I would have had a heart attaock!!!!
I can't stand snakes. Once, while in grad school, a teeny tiny baby one
somehow slithered under my door (I lived in a basement apartment). I called a
macho friend of mine (while screaming and standing on my sofa) who came
running over dressed in total snake hunting gear.... Big boots.... Scooper-
upper net.... Snake stick....
Naturally, it was gone by the time he got there. Naturally, I was still
standing on the sofa screaming.
He thought I was nuts.
I thought he looked kinda cute dressed in snake hunting gear.... :)
But then I thought a little further.... Would I really want to go out with a
man who OWNED a snake stick???
Not on your life!

Bear Lovers Club Card Received!!
Hi Janie!
Thank you for the adorable bear card. I just want to reach out and hug =
him. He looks like he could use a hug.
The card is made out of a caramel colored card stock, layered with a =
black paper with is marbled with gold and white (very elegant paper). =
On two corners of the marbled paper are corner stickers in gold...they =
almost look embossed. Layered on top of this is a rectangle of the =
caramel colored paper again with "Just for You!!" stamped using a Autumn =
toned Kaleido pad and next to the saying is an adorable bear stamped in =
black in with a bow around his next which looks like dark green glass.
You did a beautiful job and my friends, family and I love this card. =
Thank You!
Smiles and Sunshine to you!
